Brendan Rodgers, his backroom team, and many members of the City squad have flew to the owner's homeland following the end of the Premier League campaign at the weekend

The Leicester City squad are enjoying a post-season trip to Thailand before they break off for the summer.

Led by chairman Aiyawatt 'Top' Srivaddhanaprabha in his home country, Brendan Rodgers, his backroom team, and plenty of the City squad are in Thailand this week following the conclusion of the Premier League campaign at the weekend. City beat Southampton 4-1 on the final day in front of their owner to finish eighth, the highest position they have held all season.

Shortly after the conclusion of the game, City flew to Thailand and are set to be there until this Friday. They will then return to England, and while some will head off for their summer holidays, others will prepare for a busy international window at the beginning of June.

The City squad were pictured at the Temple of the Golden Buddha in Thailand’s capital Bangkok on Tuesday, and posed for photos with local fans. Not all of the players have travelled, but among those there were skipper Kasper Schmeichel, vice-captain Jonny Evans, and top scorer James Maddison.

Also present were James Justin, Harvey Barnes, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Luke Thomas, Hamza Choudhury, Patson Daka, Wesley Fofana, Eldin Jakupovic, Ricardo Pereira, Wilfred Ndidi, Marc Albrighton, Ayoze Perez, Ademola Lookman, and Papy Mendy. Joining the travelling party were director of football Jon Rudkin, and vice chairman Apichet Srivaddhanaprabha.

As a private trip, there is not expected to be much publicity around the club’s visit to the owner’s homeland. Their recent trips to Thailand have been in sad circumstances, for the cremation of late owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha in March 2019, and his funeral a few months earlier, following his death in the helicopter tragedy outside the King Power Stadium in October 2018.

Upon their return, several of City’s players will link up with their international teams, including Justin, who has been named in the senior England squad for the first time as they play four Nations League games over June. The others will enjoy a break before reconvening at Seagrave for pre-season training in late June.

Tielemans didn’t attend the staff do after the game on Sunday and left early

The assumption was he was rushing off to catch the plane with the rest of the lads but doesn’t appear he has gone to Thailand

Read into that what you want

Is Anton Rodgers going? Does Anton Rodgers want to go? Is there a GoFundMe page I can contribute to help fund his flight and “entertainment”?

There was an end Of season party - but literally every single person that works at the club was invited. Even the in the community coaches etc.
