Sarr suffers from being heavily reliant on the one foot, like our Kel and Hudson-Odoi. They’re good with it, but they’re hapless when the shoes on the other foot. 1

lcfcdamo Posted 29 May 2022 Posted 29 May 2022 I can remember the home game against us he looked a real player and looked by far there best player definitely take him 2
Lesta2014 Posted 29 May 2022 Posted 29 May 2022 Linked with him before he signed for Burnley weren't we?
UniFox21 Posted 29 May 2022 Posted 29 May 2022 Seeing we've apparently contacted his representatives. £17m for him isn't a bad shout to save money to invest elsewhere
Keiriel Posted 29 May 2022 Posted 29 May 2022 Versatile, composed, works hard, tracks back; Rodgers would love him for sure. He also has an absurd knack for scoring against Man City as well; I'd heavily consider him for this alone, just for the perk of pissing in Pep's paella. 2

coolhandfox Posted 29 May 2022 Posted 29 May 2022 9 in 26 games in a poor Burnley side, going to be a big queue for him.
ousefox Posted 29 May 2022 Posted 29 May 2022 Spoke to a Burnley fan today who told me he's a highlights player. 1

He had his best spell around the time of our draw against Burnley, not done much since then. 17.5m is a bit much for someone like him. Under 10m sure, get him onboard 1

I think this is a position that we need to push the boat out for as the rewards of finding the right player are so great in terms of goals and assists, and it is the obvious weak spot in our first XI. I know we managed to sign Mahrez for £400k, but it's highly unlikely that we'll strike so lucky twice for that kind of player. I think we could do better than Cornet myself. 1

Surely him producing highlights is a good thing. Is it that he doesn't do anything other than highlights? ( Barnes is often similar to be honest) Or does it mean Burnley wouldn't know what do to with a decent attacking player if it hit then in the face?; 2
ronnup Posted 30 May 2022 Posted 30 May 2022 Surely we can do better , he's a 1 in 5 sort of player. Perez can do that. This is a position we have tried to fill for a few years, we need to put a substantial amount of our funds here I'd say, the front line lacks it 1

Maybe we have been trying to get RW in on the cheap because we blew the budget on Perez. Spending doesn't guarantee success. We paid £30m for him an he is the worst of the lot imo.
JimJams Posted 30 May 2022 Posted 30 May 2022 I don’t think we have tried cheaping out, the loans have been brought in because we didn’t get our targets. Trincao, Berardi and Madueke never went anywhere so we had to bring someone in. So we had a look at Under and Lookman. They weren’t the original targets. More like security.

Stadt Posted 30 May 2022 Posted 30 May 2022 I'd be a bit disappointed if he was our first choice given RW has been the obvious weak spot for 4 years. He's a decent player, some experience playing in England, peak age and works hard but we need a craftier winger to complement the rest of our primarily direct forwards.
