Strange unless he has a knock

That’s the concern, seems to be very injury prone.

*in before the ‘he should fit in well here then’ comments*

Cornet 9 PL goals in 26 games in a poor Burnley side

Perez 12 in 72 in LCFC pushing for Europe over the last 3 seasons

But he works hard

Van Nistelrooy taken over and will promote a player he had in the PSV Jong side with him, Johan Bakayako. They already have Ritsu Doan and Bruma, it's been reported they may well be ready to let Madueke move on. Anyway, they wanted to keep him last summer but was reported a big offer would have tempted them.

He's our number 1 target.

What makes you so sure he is our number 1 target with all the noise coming regarding CDK?

I don't think CDK will sign unless Iheanacho goes.

See I’ve seen most mention that I honestly don’t see it myself. Perez was brought in on the assumption he will be that inverted right winger, I truly believe CDK will be a Perez replacement not to replace Kel.

Then also seen as depth and competition behind Madders. Leaving him the starting right winger, or back up to Madders should we need it.

I'd rather we stick and keep Perez. Maddison/Perez isn't a problem area and we can worry about depth once we have a solid starting 11. As good as CDK could be, it's a lot of money to spend when we need 2 wingers, a third choice centre back who's going to be constantly rotating.

Yeah that's my take to be honest. If we can't get Madueke then it might well be a decision that we quickly turn to Cornet before someone else triggers his modest release clause.

There's not an abundance of left footed right wingers that either are attainable or that you'd say are obvious signings to come STRAIGHT in and improve us. Madueke is the one we will surely be going all out for since we missed out on Tete. If we can't get him, then I'd rather we took a gamble on one of the many talented young Brazilians that are coming through, any that are playing Copa Libertadores would mean we could get a work permit for them.

Giovani from Palmeiras

Savio from Atletico-MG

Adson from Corinthians

Didn't Cornet play on the left down here against us? I'm sure he did. Later on Burnley started playing him more down the middle in their desperation, and he wasn't half as effective.

Part of me thinks he is a perfect fit for us.

Can play across various positions.

Must be on realistic wages (we need to reduce our wage bill don’t we).

Proven can play in the Prem.

An upgrade on Lookman.

Would be happy with seeing him being announced on social media that he’s joined.

The problem is Perez is commanding a huge wage for a squad player. Depending on how tight the books are, will dictate whether Perez stays or not imo.

Plus allegedly there was a meeting between the agents after the PSV game. Allegedly.

David Ornstein reporting that Everton are working on a deal and most likely destination. Sigh.

They can have him. Can’t dribble, pass or stay onside. lol

Forest in for him

Boooooo

Would be a good addition to most teams in the league and I'm sure would be excellent for us at RW.

Forest are at least going for it I suppose. I like Cooper as a manager but they may be making too many signings perhaps. They needed to replace those loan players but I'm getting a feeling of Fulham a few years ago where too many signings just didn't bed in and it cost them.

It's kind of damned if you, damned if you don't as a newly promoted side I guess.

They must be inserting relegation clauses into non-loan contracts else this could send them to the same place as Derby.

Not sure who they have signed that will keep them up.

Think Forest will do well IF everything gels. Hate saying it. Some of their transfer business has been excellent. Same with Arsenal and Spurs. Liverpool done some good stuff. Chelsea buying most everyone.

And then, there’s us, trying to flog Hamza, Vesty, Perez etc. Hate to say it, but I think we’re going to win the league 🤣

....not sure who else apart from Lingard that they have picked up, but they do suit the style of the team that came up, with added experience!!!

With Brennan Johnson at AM and Cornet RW and Lingard inside it will be a competitive team to come up against.
