Shit for those who wanted to go and now can’t.

Trying to find a positive and the only one I can find is that we’ve consistently got a weeks prep in between each of the games bar the last game of the season.

Gutted as me and the lad were planning to go if it had stayed a Saturday kick off, no chance now it’s been moved to a Monday.

Out of Europe they said, more Saturday 3pm's they said...

Didn't someone mention Liverpool had fulfilled their quota of moved TV matches? I didn't even know that was a thing but out of interest what is the quota? Surely we're close to it - Surely we've got a case regarding Monday night games? (@Corky might have been you who mentioned the quota regarding Liverpool's games?)

Think it is five per quota and the Monday Night games cover Fridays and early Sundays too, we will have had more than five of those after all this.

The league giving all the power to the TV companies is bad enough but surely the blackout could be dropped here? Most non leagues are wrapped up in the next 10 days, the last full Saturday of the Football League is next weekend. I doubt Aston Villa or Fulham fans will stay at home to watch Newcastle v Leicester, have a live game at 3pm. No need for the Monday Night at that time.

Thats a piss take. 4 in a row.

Football is ****ed in this country.

Surely thats a disadvantage to us as well. Completely unfair that we are playing after our rivals 4 weeks in a row!

Also, why do all the games on the last weekend kick off at half 4 on a Sunday. Another bizarre kick off time.

Always wondered this, why not 3 o clock on a Saturday

Because they couldn't put them on TV then.

4:30 on the Sunday is Sky's prime slot.

Yeah - “There is no minimum number of times a side can be picked by Sky Sports for Package E (Monday 8pm or Friday 7.30-8pm and Sunday 2pm), but there is a maximum limit of five times a season.”

What have we had in this package this season? Brighton away. Forest at home. United away. (Brentford I guess doesn’t count because wasn’t a tv pick, same as Wolves away) Liverpool away, and then Everton at home, Liverpool at home and Newcastle away. So that makes 7.

Because there is a law that prohibits football in the UK being shown on tv from 2:45 - 5:15 on Saturdays.

Completely knackered things up for me as I had a ticket to go to a gig up there on the Friday night. Sunday wouldn't have been too bad but no way am I staying up there from Friday to Tuesday morning so I won't bother with either

Many in same boat. We were all going up for the weekend but not one of us can stay through till the Monday night/ Tuesday. The worst possible slot they could have picked

I thought that was only when EFL games were on, which is the reason for the blackout anyway.

I might be wrong (very likely).

You might be right. You might be wrong lol

But regardless, the prem has always finished on a Sunday.

EDIT - You’re kind of right. “

The 3pm blackout, which has been in place since the 1960s, prohibits matches being shown between 2:45pm and 5:15pm in order to protect attendances throughout the football pyramid.“

So I mean I doubt the club are actually that bothered but surely they realise this is wrong even if it’s all on the TV companies and out of the clubs control.

Surely something must be said - It won’t change anything but contracts(?) or agreements have been broken and once again it’s the match going fans who are shafted.

They’re not gonna bite the hand that luxuriously, extravagantly and unnecessarily feeds them

This doesn’t relate to us but this is what I meant regarding my comments of something must be said, hopefully our fixtures changes, 4 Monday games, over the maximum limit hasn’t gone unnoticed by the FSA.
