There was some huge patches of relegation form last season and we wasn’t mathematically safe until matchday 36.

Its extremely unlikely but not outside the realms of possibility either, especially if Rodgers pulls a Mourinho.

I think we’ll finish 12th - 8th this season, i cant see us improving much on last season.

Pretty much everyone finishing in roughly the same position as last year apart from us.

I mean, he could be correct about us, but he's looked at last year's table and written a piece about it.

Don’t forget the injuries are what done us. And the Covid delays. If we can avoid the injuries, we could scrape 6-7th. Just need a half competent keeper. With that said, we could also be relegated, but I’m doubtful.

Why do you care why he cares why people care about his opinion?

Why do you care why Babs cares about why anyone cares about his opinion?

When he don’t care himself

The **** is this shit. Honestly, the obsession with signing players is just bizarre.

Right? Same shit every year from pundits. All opinions based on quantity of signings, not the overall look of the squad. Fvcking stupid.

We'd be saying similar if another club did fcuk all in the window and had a large number of players on looming contract expiration and had its best players being linked with Bullshit transfers and had its long serving, undisputed no.1 keeper and club captain on the way out.

It's a little cringe how some think we will be fine cos we still have a decent first 11.

It just isn't and won't be that simple but I'm bored of waiting for us to sign or sell anyone and just want the season to start so I can see exactly where we're at.

How do we have an ageing team? 8 of our best side are probably 27 and under. Fofana, Justin, Castagne, Tielemans, Ndidi, Dewsbury-Hall, Maddison and Barnes. We have three key players over 30.

Im not giving an opinion on this article.. it’s fact.

It’s utter shite.

We don’t have ‘an ageing team’ and he’s making huge assumptions that we will go on to sell Youri and Fofana.

We might, yes. But at present they are still at the club!

Lazy journalism at its absolute finest this

This team, this squad aint all that bad....

both outside pundits & Insiders total lack of Knowledge of the Quality we have..!!!

The article basically says that if we sell our three best players and don’t sign anyone, we’ll be sh1t!

He may have a point, but then the same could be said for most other clubs if the same criteria is applied

Which is why when we finish 6th, it will be ****ing glorious, and I will walk onto a national TV sports station bollock naked and sip espresso’s very loudly.

Everton managed to drag themselves out a mess last year with one or two good players.

I was a bit nervous last season around February with how poorly we were playing but our players are largely far too good to even be close to 18th. Rodgers would be sacked if we were in the relegation zone after 10 games.

I used to work for a Scottish firm. Before I joined, they had a lad called John Kerr, whose nickname was ‘Wee Juan’.

Think he’s a bit optimistic for us tbh. I mean if we sell everyone in the next month, don’t sign anyone and pick 11 lads off Vicky Park each Saturday then I can see us finishing bottom.
