well, to be honest if he was ‘good enough’ then we wouldn’t have been after Sensi so hard and wouldn’t be playing Ndidi ( a converted DM!) ahead of him.

what he is, is ‘adequate back up’ until we can get someone better. But make no mistake, if we had signed Sensi, or if Ndidi was fit they’re both be  ahead of him in the pecking order..

Sorry mate but “we” weren’t after Sensi,FT wasn’t convinced the club was.Enzo admitted he liked him,but he said the

same about “Dennis“ for those two roles in midfield

and stated he was somewhat underexposed and underrated

Many Poster who just waffle off on players, miss in these last games those off the ball runs and others that are assist to assist creation, if not always conversions fröm Praet..

Hes started now to be that get out Player that Ndidii created only this season for himself

and the player that has started to be again dangerous in that Fatawu pass to the byeline .

If people insist on finding errors for the sake of it,is captious to a fault..

I think Praet's fall-off in the second half would be fitness related. He was out for a long time this season, not for the first time. We've seen with the likes of Ricardo and Justin it takes time to build up fitness and form after long injuries.

When he is fit Enzo does seem to trust him and he was getting minutes, either starting or coming on for Wilf, early in the season.

As others have already said, the whole team performance dipped in the second half, not just Praet.

It will be interesting what happens with him in the summer. I expect he will leave on a free. But we're not gonna have an awful lot to spend and need quality players.  I think he does possess qualities, and fits well into Enzo's formation.  Could he be a squad player?

The question with him is more about (a) does he actually want to be here? and (b) can he get, and then stay, fit enough?

Sensi would have been ahead of preat, just the same way ndidi is

Due to Rudkin being useless, we are going to have to get promoted the hardway

Poor us having to play with 3 internationals and a guy with 20 goal contributions. It really is unfair :p

First sentence..and last paragraph…nail on the head.

If he wants to be here,he could save us some pennies, especially

if Enzo sees and can get the best out of him..

If Enzo had some sort of toss up,between Sensi or Praet,I don’t see any difference

in quality,or presentation…

Sensi in that comparison doesn’t, or improve or notch-up quality  of squad..IMO.

The point is not that we ****ed up the transfer, the point is that we would have pursued Sensi whether he would be picked ahead of Praet or not, if your argument about how limited the options are is correct.  You need players you can rotate, and even if Enzo had a preference to start Praet, with all his injury history you obviously need a backup.  Pursuing Sensi is not itself indicative of Enzo preferring him to Praet.  Maybe he would have, maybe not - we’ll never know.

we DID peruse him, we did want to sign him, but we couldn’t afford to complete the deal..

( we were probably expecting someone to leave who didn’t )

make no mistake, Praet is only playing because we have no other option in that area at present…

Him and KDH were not at the running today, if he wasn't the worst it's a dire endorsement of the performances of others. Honestly don't understand how this guy got caps for Belgium during their 'golden generation', he influences maybe one in every 10 games

This. He did not need calling out today.  Which is an improvement. lol

Fatawu and Stephy were off. Daka anonymous. Poor KDH couldn't put a foot right (I think trying too hard) ...Faes was dodgy by his standards. Yunus was dreadful. Even Mads looked a bit hesitant today.

Yet Dennis gets called out after putting in a decent 7/10 performance

Thought Praet was one of our better players today.

Think it was him that put the ball through for Vardys goal wasn't it?

*Edited to say, it was Cannon that put the ball through for Vardys goal.

Still thought Praet was decent today though.
