He did, he head butted someone going for that goal. What a player Les was. Even at his age he was such a pleasure to watch.

His free kicks were unreal lol Just smash them.

In recent times Castagne sticks out. Wasn’t just the first game either, first few months he was very good.

Dave Buchanan at age 16 scored on debut 1979. Talking of debuts and I know he was not our player but Jimmy Greaves scored on all his debuts for Chelsea, AC, Spurs, England and West Ham.

If Ben Mee's Brentford debut is anything like his Leicester debut, we could see it today.

On the opposite end of the scale, I remember thinking Jonny Evans looked an absolute bombscare on his debut vs Wolves. Good nomination for worst debut by an otherwise great Leicester player.

If ever a player played out of his skin, somehow far beyond the limits of his ability, it was Junior Lewis on debut v Chelsea.

It was 0-0 if memory serves and he was everywhere, telescopic limbs gobbling up the ball like hungry hippos, bossing the midfield.

Sadly, we nver saw that Junior Lewis again and he reverted to the mean which was far below Premier League standard.

Yep. Already been mentioned too but the two Hungarian wingers can Coventry were similar. Came out the game thinking they’d fire us to the playoffs. But they were crap every performance afterwards and we ended up getting relegated.

Always feel sad talking about that Collymore Hat-trick game. I was there with some uni pals and we were unreal. I think that side would have given anyone a game. We really were on the brink of pushing the big boys. Then Collymore got injured, Heskey left, O’Neill left and it all turned to shit. Some team that was. X
