If he comes in as back up LW on loan and we get a proper RW then let's dance.

Get him on loan, dunno if he's any good! .... don't know why he's flopped at Atlanta. We messed up on not signing Lookman and he looks very similar to him.

Hopefully a new environment will rekindle the form he had at Sussuolo....his previous club to Atlanta

He's similar to Lookman in his greatest asset is his dribbling and pace, he loves taking players on. He'd give us a different option to Barnes and hopefully help push him along at the same time. We have to get a RW in though.

So just to clarify, Boga has gone from avoid at all costs to a good addition as back up to Barnes?

Isn’t that what got us in this place? Average players on bloated wages/loans with no forward planning?

For me...a loan as back up this season makes sense.

I'd only consider it as a loan with an option to buy. It doesn't cost us a huge amount with wages for half a season and we do need 2 wingers. If he's the only one that came in though I'd projectile vomit.

it’s because he obviously has potential but it’s a huge risk. We tend to want a player on an upward turn not a downward one.

As a back up it’s risk free and we could find a gem. But it’s a huge risk if he’s coming in as the only option….. there’s also the issue that he’s not a rw 😂

We need a LW and a RW as Barnes isn't good enough so getting Boga to play on the left makes us a better team to start off with.

Just get Dominic Barradi on the Right

Please no.

Personally I only want signings who strengthen the starting 11 or are young and have the potential to do so in the future.

Boga doesn’t appear to do either.

Surely, if there is one criteria for incoming transfers it must be they have to be an upgrade on what we already have.

Or maybe almost as good so Barnes can be rotated and avoid another injury lay off ……..and we don’t suffer as a team. A bit like lookman last season.

The one player I thought we would actually get lol

ATALANTA TAKE BOGA OFF THE MARKET

Atalanta have reportedly changed their plans regarding Jeremie Boga, so Fiorentina, Leicester City and others now won’t get him on loan.

The winger had been on the way out of Bergamo after falling down the pecking order under coach Gian Piero Gasperini and with a series of performances that made him seem a shadow of the player seen at Sassuolo.

However, he came off the bench to provide two assists in the 2-2 draw with Bologna last night at the Stadio Dall’Ara and showed glimpses of what he was capable of.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, that proved enough to change Atalanta’s minds and they have now taken Boga off the market.

Fiorentina and Leicester City had been particularly interested in doing a deal, with Boga having already turned down the Premier League side over the summer.

La Dea already sent Ruslan Malinovskyi to Olympique Marseille, so there ought to be more chances for playing time for the rest of the season.

Atalanta paid €22m to sign Boga from Sassuolo a year ago, but he never quite fully recovered after a long bout of COVID-19, which lasted for six weeks.
