Don’t mind vardy being rested as long as he plays 2 up top. If not no matter who plays there they won’t get any service playing alone

Regardless of what you think of the manager or board, we really can’t afford any more losses. I’ve seen bizarrely people say “I want us to lose so he goes” for weeks now and it doesn’t make a difference, it just makes us more and more cut off from the rest of the league.

 

By all means complain if/when we lose, but back the team whilst they’re  playing, we desperately need the win right now and the odds are that Rodgers won’t even go if we lose anyway

Didn't Rodgers let Simpson train with the club when he was between clubs? Loyalty because of that most likely.

Rodgers was good to simmo - he should be loyal to him

Therein lies our problem in one, we just aren’t ruthless enough at moving players on, this is where we’re at where we’re at imo. I wonder when we gave players like Mendy a new contract, whether it was reflective of him being a squad player or whether it was an improved contract, because it really should have been the former.

Also the pace in our team has disappeared, vardy is not the vardy of old speed wise and we only have Barnes with any pace at all. all part of the problem of why we are crap at the moment

 

 

.. you don't just defend with four players!!!

  With Vardy and Barnes, you need someone with the ability to release them for the counter. All we have to do is move the ball more directly without the need for countless passing. We have more than enough players in this team to effectively play on the counter. Looking at Faes he seems capable of organising a defense.

The team should start with Madders playing as a 10 and then building from there, he’s our best player and playing him out if position effects the side
