Theres no way he doesnt go 3-5-2 today. Its his go too formation when under pressure to get a result.

Although 3-5-2 is too attacking its more like 5-4-1 so theres plenty of players in our half to bump those passing stats.

Someone on twitter reply with "actually get the players to put in some effort - defensively press as a team and actually makenruns off the ball in attack"

Our potential first team nearly all have experience of finishing in the top 5.

Ward, Castagne,  Evans, Faes,  Justin, Ndid, KDH, Maddison, Tielemans, Barnes, Vardy.     Evans and Vardy have won the league.  Ward hasn't come close, KDH has a top 8 finish.  I am not sure about where teams with Faes in have finished.

Our potential second 11 (accepting Perreira is injured) have decent records.   Iversen, Albrighton, Amartey,  Soyuncu, Mendy, Praet. Sou,are, Perez  Daka, Iheanacho, have a lot of players with decent records.

With the players we have, we should be turning this around.

...we all accept that, we do not get to see this, until we change the mentality of the squad!!!

At the moment they are constrained by a style and changing formations that they struggle to get to grips with.  They do not believe, in what they are presently being asked to do.

Vardy better from 70min whrn gane is stretched.

He is too isolated in first 70.  Nacho and daka would be a positive choice today

Why can everyone else see this apart from Rodgers?

Sadly I’d rather see us lose than scrape a draw that papers over the cracks. What ever it takes to get Brendan out the door.

Have there been reports of how he’s done in training? That’s good to hear if so…

They shared some videos on YouTube from his first training session. I thought he looked decent

Danny hasn’t been following Brendan’s post match interviews, substitutions etc it seems..

...I  was wondering why he would be viewing this situation from the stance that he has taken if he was still close to some in the group!!!

You would think that there would be discontent and players unhappy that he is still there.

I suppose there will be a group of players within the squad, still backing Rodgers and see it as players letting him down. Simpson's take on the matter, may just be symptomatic of what is happening in the squad as a whole.

If we lose today, he still isn’t going tomorrow. Be careful what you wish for because many more losses could easily dig us a bigger trench for relegation.

Time for Daka to announce his arrival :scarf:

Just some shots on target would be nice. Roundy, roundy the box Rodgers ball needs to be binned, and binned fast.

...from the short clips that was released,  he looked very good!!!

Seeing it was his first session,  he looked more than competent, he got into situation where he had to challenge for the ball but it was not in his favour, so he used his body to ease off the other player and took control. It either proved he has good strength and techniques or a confirmation just how weak we are individually.

This chap could take over the armband, he has a quiet demeanour,  steelyness and the will to win, sometimes the captaincy can way a player down.

I presume there has been very limited training with the first team. The clips i saw didn't contain anyone who played against Man U.

If we leave Vardy out and then struggle for 70 mins. The screams to bring him on will be deafening. He comes on and scores and for the next match most insist he starts. We simply have to understand he is approaching the end of being a 90 minute striker. This period of phasing him out was always going to be a defining moment in the history of this club but it has to and will happen.

Well I hold my hands up I genuinely thought he'd of been sacked before today's game so our chances of getting anything out of this has nosedive for me.

Can't see anything but another meek loss.  But we will win the possession stat, so silver lining and all that.

Say the same thing every week and have done for as long as I can remember, if we lose, I hope its his last one.  But we won't push him, until its too late to rectify.

The players have clearly lost their love of playing football. They look lost, apathetic and miserable. Even if we took the lead against Brighton the panic will set in, we’ll sit back and cave in.

I caught myself thinking this way, then realised I felt the same under puel.

Same result will get him scoring again I suspect.

Be nice to see some intensity today, not had much of it all season, let’s see if the millstone of the transfer window has really

been lifted or are we just poor directionless team this season heading for the drop.

COME ON LEICESTER!!!!

Here we go again, fans wishing us to lose. I understand where you are coming from but seriously come on, you don't really want us to lose do you?

What a short sighted view by Simpson. There may be comparisons on the pitch but we weee never this bad under Puel (rooted at the bottom) and equally the long term prognosis was never as bleak as despite his faults, Puel was building a strong team whereas the toxic midget is pulling it all apart at the seams. Danny needs to get off his high horse and be in touch with the fans if he is going to comment!
