KDH the latest fall guy. Keeps picking Tielemans who isn't remotely interested.

He was also absolutely crap on Thursday, and to be fair to him he’s probably done more running than anyone else in our team this season so could do with a rest.

The haters gotta hate re selection. Anyone that has been ‘dropped’ can’t argue. They’ve all been poor. It could have been any of them. None of us know who’s carrying knocks. But let’s not miss an opportunity to be the latest most outraged supporter. Jeez, it’s becoming a hard read in here.

That team is truly unbelievable- 2 centre forwards but no right sided player - soumare instead of ndidi, ndidi at cb instead of both soyuncu and faes, no kdh at all and Thomas instead of Castagne - Rodger’s is absolutely taking the almighty p*ss - absolutely none of that makes sense - play your best team you absolute charlatan

When was the last time we played the diamond, worked an absolute treat the last time I can remember us using it against Villa away but we seem to avoid wanting to use it

Who thinks seriously he is elite? Did he say that?

Well l sure dont, but the press seem to think so and he was treated as such when his contract was negotiated!

Are you new to the forum?

Rodgers is not blindly backed.   I have not seen a Rodgers in post recently.

He's been blindly backed for the last 6 months or so. You can deny it all you want but even recent polls have people still defending him

its good but yea Nididi should be in for Soumare and Soy/Faes for Nididi and Castange should be ahead of Thomas.

Why has he decided to play Justin LB now all of sudden switches him to RB..

I don't mind the forward postions and KDH could easily come on a sub when we are lacking enegry same with Vardy. but yea the defence is a mess.

Back four should be a simple choice why is he shoe horing Nididi in when we have Faes/Soy available, pure madness.

Castange Evans Soy Justin

Castange Evans Faes Justin

Castange Evans Faes Thomas

Justin Evans Soy Thomas

nope..

It’s safe to say, Castagne is thought highly of on here, however he’s steady but since his arrival, he hasn’t exactly improved the defence in terms of actually defending.

.. our best defender one on one!!!

He is probably as bemused as everyone else as to what is going on around him. He must be disillusioned about the roles he has to take on and the way we chop and change the team.

He does have an opinion on what we are doing on the pitch and he is not convinced that we are helping ourselves.

KDH has been a revelation since last season, but he’s had a poor season, as have most, by those standards he set last year. His energy and running also seem to have the affect on other supporters that if another midfielder doesn’t match his running, they are lazy, uninterested and don’t want to be here. I find the remarks that Youri isn’t giving his all during games, strange. Clearly he wants a new challenge, demonstrated by his contract status, but this narrative that he’s not trying is unfounded. If this is based on a run of poor form from last season, then I would point to his poor spell in 2019/2020 season, that did see him dropped by Rodgers, albeit for a short time. When he is playing poorly, his lethargic style is more apparent and his lack of energy can be confused for a lack of effort. In addition, to confusing poor form with a lack of effort, since last season Youri has made a point of symbolic gestures, shouting, badge grabbing, generally showing passion on the pitch in full view of the fans. I would argue he is clearly aware he’s not played well, but out of respect for the club, he is desperate to show he is still giving his all. Let’s get behind him, on his day he is the best player on the pitch for us and we have no replacement for what he can offer us on form.

Fofana went straight into the Chelsea team

Fofana also has experience of the Premier League, but I do take the point

What the hell formation is that?

Seems like Castagne now joins Brendo's long blacklist.  If he hangs around until the WC break he won't have 11 players left he's willing to use.

It’s better than I expected tbh. Iversen should play. Castagne should play. If Faes were available I’d prefer a diamond with kels and daka up top, Barnes dropped, Faes in. Ndidi, 2 of Soumaré/Tielemans/KDH/Praet, and Maddison in the diamond.

KDH would have been one of the first names on the team sheet along side Maddison at the start of the season, however, he has not been great. I probably wouldn't have dropped him today, as his energy is worth something on it's own. Not sure what Rodgers is thinking, maybe trying to get more balance in the team, but could easily backfire today not having a returning to form KDH in the team.

Why the hell is Ward still playing? We've seen how crap he is, let's see if Iversen can out-crap him. Plus, Iversen has Championship experience, will be useful next season.

That team will get whalloped lol

We might bag a few, but that team will leak chances today. If Brighton fancy it, they could go for the record today.
