Doctors are apparently concerned about her medical condition.

 

Obviously understandable at her age, but it sounds pretty worrying.

Charles, Camilla and Williams all heading up to Balmoral, so sounds like something serious.

Generally, it's wrong that anyone "rules" or "reigns" by accident of their birth, but this is about a rather cute extremely elderly lady who did her bit and was having to put up with meeting the public well into her 90s and never did me any harm, so I hope she's OK.

It just sounds all of a sudden.

She looked pretty well considering, given the image of her with Truss when the latter was announced as PM.

Tbf seeing Boris Johnson and Liz Truss on the same day is enough to make anyone feel a bit ropey.

I tend to agree, here.

 

I don't rejoice in the ill health of anyone, generally speaking.

 

However, I do hope that the suitability of the monarchy is scrutinised when her reign ends.

Generally I don't think anybody wishes harm on random old people. She is 96 after all.

Having been harangued on more than one occasion by Irish republicans who've heard my accent and told me about 800 years of bloodshed, etc, as well as telling me in in great detail how they would like to see the Monarch's demise, I can say this is just not true.

Hopefully. I’ve always said that I think she’ll be the last of the iconic British monarchs. Great Britain and the world is very different from what it was when she became Queen.

Tin foil hat perched squarely on my head...

 

Liz Truss spends her teen years campaigning to abolish the monarchy, less that 24 hours after she meets the queen she's suddenly got all her family rushing up to see her. 

 

Coincidence? Probably.

 

Desperate attempt by me to get Truss immediately removed from office and sent down for treason? Almost certainly.

I think he meant 'goes' in the sense of departing the club as opposed to this mortal coil.
