He'll never win me around I can guarantee you that. He'd have to fundamentally change as a person which is just not going to happen at his age. He's still claiming not to understand the impact of his words over the past few weeks.

There's plenty of mouth breathers that will be swayed by a few results either way, but not me. I'll happily by classified a fool if basing my opinion solely on results makes me one.

So he would change your mind if he fundamentally changed as a person, thanks for agreeing with me.

There's nothing foolish about having observed how Rodgers has overseen the deterioration in the team over the last 2 years and how his character has been revealed during that period and coming to the conclusion that the sum of those parts means it is inconceivable to believe he is capable of turning it around.

And that’s got what to do with anything discussed?

Realistically, it’s a no.

If we managed to turn performances around, charged up the table playing good football and he stopped spewing negativity then I could see the calls for him to go to reduce but.we are in a dog fight and it isn’t likely.

Restoring faith of the masses is nigh on impossible. Much of that is because the man has systematically chipped away at our ambition, what the Club is capable of and should aspire to. Is it any wonder many of the squad have regressed / lack belief.

Yes. He needs to show he is as committed as every fan on here. Swallow some pride. Put out a team to play to the strengths of the players we have rather than make them play the game he wants but that they cannot produce. It is one thing to have an ethos as a coach, but you have to be flexible and work with what you've got and if that means shelving your particular ethos for a while then that's what you do, after all that is what you are being paid to do - get the best out of what you've got and win games. He is a good manager, but his own wobble about his future at Leicester has dripped down into the squad and unsettled everyone even more than the attention players receive anyway from clubs trying to destabilise us. I would be happy for Brendan to step up prove us all wrong and drive us forward, but I am not sure how long that can wait in a 38 game season.

I have an arsenal fan friend who still insists he wants Arteta sacked. He was fuming when Chelsea got Potter this week.

seems a bit silly really.

If we go on and win our next 5 games you’d be a fool to be calling for his head.

It still feels unlikely but of course if we win games and turn a corner he’d win back my support.

Why is that? From the outside he seems to be building something decent there. Obviously not privy to the day to day goings on though

He decided he wanted him out when they had that poor run and has refused to change his mind since.

Haha weird, seems like they've been improving every year under him. More of a Pearson style building than instant success and burning out though.

Football isn't as mechanical for me as some others seem to think. I want to feel an affinity with managers and players. It isn't just a results business. My largest gripe with Rodgers is that I don't like him. I've never warmed to him or his character (lack there of). He has little to no connection to the fans in terms of rapport. We need passion as fans. Die for the club mentality. Rodgers doesn't and won't ever have that here.

I've felt this even during the times we were good. Just never quite had any affinity towards him. My gut instinct hasn't turned out wrong either - he's what I feared he was.

I want our manager to be someone I like and feel hurt for when we lose. I feel very little hurt when we lose these days. I don't know if that's just getting older or what but I don't think it is.

Look at the way Leeds fans were with Bielsa. A lot of us laughed at it (myself included) but I envy it in a way. It adds something. Bielsa, and plenty of others are capable of extracting something emotionally that Rodgers is just simply incapable of.

Seems to be two camps here.

If you want to win matches, it doesnt really matter what the character of the manager is like as long as they are winning.

If you want your manager to have 'pashun' regardless of performance then fair enough but dont expect guaranteed quality.

Of course at the moment we have neither.

I’ve said I won’t buy a ticket while Rodgers is in charge, and I mean it. Not a single match until he goes regardless of pitch results now.

“Ah, but what if he gets us to the final of the Cha…”

He won’t.

he can win me over by winning the next 4 games (if not sacked by then) & cutting his salary

Rough calculation, Rodgers is taking home around £400k a month, after tax.

but what if he did, it's a valid thought exercise that helps you flesh out your opinion. IF this season we surged in to the top 10 and won the FA cup and League cup would you still never go?

Our shite players have over performed due to the sheer brilliance of Brendan Rodgers - apparently.

As a club we have striven to break the Top 6 and ONLY due to the utter brilliance of Brendan Rodgers have we managed that to a limping degree - apparently.

If we had good players and actually backed the manager we would be too 4 no problem - after a huge rebuild - apparently.

Brendan has done nothing except diminish and demoralise. He either needs a personality transplant or to go. Doesn’t matter what he does going forward, he is a self serving narcissist who is the centre of his own universe and poisonous now to the club, the squad and the fans. Be gone man.

Am willing to give him a clean slate, providing that he's used this temporarily break to reflect on how things gone wrong and why.
