He is basically Soyuncu in terms of his defending, minus his pace but with a better mentality.

Like him, but he’s very dodgy at times. Give him this season, but needs to cut the brain farts next year

Have you seen the goal back mate?

He is under ZERO pressure and fizzes a ball into the middle of the pitch past Mendy and then doesn’t drop back either.

A much slower and zero Cruyff turning version of Cags from his first season.

No I get what you're saying. But he's a key part of breaking the lines and getting the ball up field quickly.

He doesn't drop back as he's playing offside but Souttar doesn't react quickly enough.

Bet you loved his tackle on Kane last week to help set up one of our goals though?

He's a decent player but looking to the summer he's probably the first target for an upgrade despite joining last summer. His mentality is a rare quality though that shouldnt be undervalued.

Think if anything we need to be looking for a more reliable partner for Souttar and bump Faes down to third in line. Nothing against Faes but he is just quite rash. Plus the best way to strengthen is to sign first choice and previous first choice becomes back up rather than signing back up players as we have done too much in recent years.

Gives the ball away and watches his pass instead of retaking his position in defence. Then rushes forward with 0% chance of getting any where near the ball and leaves a massive gap for Rashford. He has to take the majority of the blame (Souttar attempting to play offside instead of attempting to defend, but he probably still would have got nowhere near Rashford and Wards positioning didn't help but with Rashford in form still may not have made a difference)

I think that's the major fault, Faes not dropping back after giving the ball away and leaving Rashord on his own. He literally rolled out the red carpet for him.

Because he shouldn’t have too, the ball quite calmly bounces to Faes and he has a brain fart and just fizzes the ball into danger.

I never played elite football but played for years and would be fuming if my CB did that at a much, much lower level.

Absolute heinous level of intelligence,  I hate possession for possessions sake but all he has to do is keep the ball there when under such minimal pressure.

Or should just pass the ball better. Not enough time to react as Rashford is already on his way after Sabitzer cuts out. Left himself exposed really. He wasn't get back at all.

He's a fooking bomb scare at times, his fault for the goal and if he rolls round in agony like all the twats do, united would be down to 10 men..

make that 3 fooking times

At fault for both goals again today. At fault for at least half a dozen since the world cup.

He is so susceptible to pace it is embarrassing.

Got absolute pelters at the start of the season for suggesting this lad isn’t anything more than an average Premier League defender but I wasnt wrong.

Its starting to look like he’ll need replacing next season already. He’s the weak link at the minute.

Is there something in the water in Belgium that makes feet grow out of elbows by the way?

Just asking re: that VAR decision. We all know from the Morgan incident at Anfield a few years back that hands grow out of faces for similar reasons in Nottingham, so it's not unprecedented.

Makes you think the Soyuncu thing was definitely personal, because Faes is no better and definitely not near prime Soyuncu.

Remind me how long ago he was “prime” Soyuncu

He was “prime” Soyuncu for longer than Faes has been in his “prime” for us.

I don’t think Cags is the answer as he’s clearly off anyway BUT Faes has proven to be a slower and more mistake ridden version.

He’s not very good at all. Had concerns at one point in the Bournemouth game earlier in the season of him diving in but thought benefit of the doubt cause it’s a new league etc.

His positional awareness for a centre back is terrible. If he had a normal haircut fans would be hounding him out of the team…

Jesus stop the whining, he’s done exactly the same as last week when he was hailed a hero, unfortunately this week it’s not worked

Wtf does this even mean? Absolutely doggo today.
