this is a very woke/snowflake type of thing to say but it's gone beyond points for me at this stage lol

in order to genuinely want him to succeed here, I'd need to see him come out in the press and take genuine accountability with a genuine degree of humility for the shit show he's got us in.

and publically apologise to kelechi. and praet. and soyuncu. and the board. and the fans.

and also would need him to stop doing that annoying clap thing he does.

and also would need at least 12 points from the next available 15.

but thats it.... lol

Ah I dunno.

Get the feeling some people might think that I shouldn’t care about the type of person who’s the manager of the club I support, just that he gets us sufficient points.

Based on History We need a Minimum

10 points by the end of November.

A Maximum ( Which would be Nice )

14 Points by the end on November

Anything Less and I'm Sorry, we're in BIG Trouble

I think you are about right. We are in trouble.  Ten points should be the minimum at that stage. Even if we have an upturn in form I think that is about the maximum we are likely to get. I don’t think it makes that much difference to the manager situation as if they are looking to replace they will have made that decision and be searching for the right candidate/deal.

I don’t think it matters how many points we get , TOP has said that they can’t afford to pay him out , so he can continue to play his crap way and refuse to pick players , or make correct subs that strengthen the team .

Top hasn’t said that though has he?

Crikey!

What IS clear is the level of vitriol and dislike towards a manager who did get us top 6 finishes across two seasons and the FA cup.

I agree… he’s served his time now and needs to go. But I don’t think I’ve read on FT such a level of dislike for one of our managers.
Even Pearson before the great escape, when, don’t forget, we’d been rooted to the bottom of the Prem for months, had his ‘backers’ on here. There was a ‘Pearson in or Pearson out’ debate for months!

But with Rodgers, it looks like the consensus is he’s not liked.

We need a change…

People don't dislike him that much for the performance. It's his personality. Everyone knows someone like him, they brown nose the right people and sh*t on the people that won't help their cause.

Will never recover it for me personally.  He isn't capable nor determined.

God knows how the club see it though. I think it's the precedent they've set that worries me. I don't know how bad it actually has to get for him to go.

So in our next 5 premier league matches how many points do you think we need to get for Brendan to keep his job?

I would say 7 as an absolute minimum but I think 9 is needed to keep us in touch before the tougher games come.

Didn’t you get the memo? Brendan is  un-sackable  we could loose all 5 and our hopeless board would do nothing

His arrogance doesn’t help him, he is a pretty much a dislikable character, blames everything on his tools never blames himself, blokes a nob head  🤣

Rodgers Out - My stance won't change and has been the same for nearly 2 years.

We need to win games, otherwise we are going down, so I hope we get 9 points at least, but that wouldn't change my mind. He needs to go

Best case scenario is he finds a bit of form from somewhere even if keeps him here until the summer. Then he moves on :fc: and we can plan between now and then a suitable replacement to rebuild in the summer.

I really can't see us getting another point under him - It feels very taylor'esque to me

He's lost the fans and even more importantly the players - I'm sure Top would have offloaded if there wasn't the financial restraints

...if the theory of one man stopping the termination of Rodgers contract, then you would believe whichever way the decision will fall, the money to finance the termination is there in one or two person's minds!!!

If he gets the end of the 5 games he must have won at least 3 of them otherwise he would be sacked along the way. As I said in my earlier post if he loses to Forest he is gone and end of.

Has he been promised 5 games?  Have I missed that?  because I've been pinning my hopes on a sacking when we lose on Monday!

It’s difficult to read as we get no info from the board. The journos seem to think he’s been given the next run of games, hence the view it will include the next five easier ones. If I was a board member I’d say there has to be a minimum return from these matches. It could be 3 wins or 9 points minimum but who knows? …

We can't lose any of them, this is the easiest run of games we have all season

Forest (H)

Bournemouth (A)

Palace (H)

Leeds (H)

Wolves (A)

We need to be winning all 3 games at home, and at least getting draws at the 2 away games

We need to be getting at least 11 points

IF he gets all 5 games I honestly expect probably at most 5 points

Agreed, anything less than 11-12 points from that and we are in a lot of trouble that takes a massive sustained effort to get away from the bottom 3. The fa t it is such a favourable run of games and the dangers of harder games and runs to come makes it essential we don't fluff our lines here and persist with Rodgers.
