That was the only enjoyable thing worth doing when we got relegated from the Championship. I spent two seasons very drunk.

Haha, to be fair, that was a great season! Travelling to weird and wonderful parts of the country battering everyone!

I’d love to know what network they’re on. I’ve tried EE, Three and O2 and I can never get a signal when the stadium is full.

I asked a lad who was constantly putting on in-play bets during a game last season. A lot of them are on the stadium's media WiFi, which isn't hard to find the password for if you're observant enough.

Someone in our family is a West Ham fan, and last season i got coerced into going to the Man U game at the London stadium late summer, which i think was Ronaldo's first game back. Game was most amusing as Noble come on a sub to take a last minute penalty which he missed. Laughed so hard when that happened.

Anyway, ticket price was eye watering (right at the back, over £100). Fat bloke next to me ate a massive sausage and chips dinner in the first half. It literally took him the whole half and it (and he) stank. He dissapeared for refreshments about 40 minutes in, and in the 2nd half washed his pint down whilst playing Asphalt 9 on his i-pad. He watched none of the game, and it must have cost him just as much i my ticket. He actually missed the last minute penalty as he left a little early.

It happens everywhere unfortunately. I have no desire to go anywhere near the London Stadium again.

I found it on a stadium tour once and it didn’t work. It was something like 20stadium19.

Would be good for emergencies, but I quite enjoy not being bothered by anyone for 2 hours.

When was this? Everton haven't played Brighton this season.

Was just using examples over the years, may have gone the teams wrong but the concept remains the same

There are people around me who turn up 10-15 mins late, go down on 35 mins (presumably for a beer), miss the start of turn second half and finally leave on 80-85 mins. They might nip to the bogs as well… 🤔

Why bother and what are they doing?! Certainly not watching the bloody football!

Yep. 3 young lads near us on Thursday, arrived late, all went downstairs mid-match. Down again on about 35 minutes and never returned for the second half. What was the point in getting a ticket?

Literally everywhere in a big crowd because the usually signal strength (I’m sure there is a more technical term) is divided by thousands more than usual. Same at festivals etc.

Maybe Vodafone is the answer because it’s the only major carrier I haven’t tried.

I had more WIFI at Nou camp with 80k people than I get at KP with 30k!

....are these supporter indicative of the fee paying supporters and is this all about a place to be seen, and excess money!!!

Like all people who go to the games, they pay their money so are entitled to "watch" the game in any manner that suits them.

It is obvious that the people attending games are no longer the die hard supporters (most of them have been squeezed out by pricing) and what is keft are dotted around the stadium,  without a collective voice.

Any kind of pushback to the club would not be something you would find, as the stadium has become a destination arena as opposed to a gladiatorial cauldron of fire.

...why were you on your phone in that instance!!!

I have been to the game with my brother and the first thing he wants to do is a selfie to say he is at the game. People already know you are at the game!!

Does it make you a bad supporters, surely not, as it seems that it is the norm, put the phone away and enjoy the atmosphere and occasion!

I sit just behind the section that's obviously reserved exclusively for Thai tourists (right at the back of B3) and a good chunk of those spend the entire game on video calls with friends/family back home

Why are the self-righteous pontificating about this? Why are they watching what other fans are up to when their eyes should be peeled on the great football we are playing under BR. Has the club introduced a code of conduct for fans watching games?

Exactly this judging by the amount of posts during a match I'd say most people on here are on their phones, who cares how you enjoy it 🦊👍
