Brazil are not all that.  Commentators heaping praise more in anticipation rather than the current end product.

well exactly. They aren’t exactly unplayable but nobody at this tournament is.

Brazil also have a huge national pressure, they face a similar level of scrutiny as our last golden generation. Sometimes you want to avoid that favourites tag as it does no favours.

Genuinely think this is the best chance to win a world cup. So many aging sides focusing on past hero’s.

Spain would be an exception to that ruling

It's worth remembering that due to Covid etc Brazil haven't played European teams consistently for quite a few years - not a surprise that playing Serbia is more difficult than most people expect.

If only some of them played in Europe

I get the point though.

There used to be a certain mystique surrounding the Brazilian players.  Now that most of them play over here in Europe, they're no longer the unknown quantity that they once were.

That’s the problem with the World Cup. We see these players so often that there is nothing new to discover  in tournaments such as this

I am actually quite impressed with Brazil. They face a strong defensive Serbian side and has created quite a few chances. Deserved lead.

Thought I would end up being annoyed with Neymar and Richarlison, but they have not been that bad today with the play-acting.
