People are seriously writing Brazil off for failing to score in 45 minutes against one of the best defences in Europe?

I'm bemused that the majority of people haven't seen Brazil play for 4 and half years, but write them off in less than an hour lol

Brazil are not all that.  Commentators heaping praise more in anticipation rather than the current end product.

well exactly. They aren’t exactly unplayable but nobody at this tournament is.

Brazil also have a huge national pressure, they face a similar level of scrutiny as our last golden generation. Sometimes you want to avoid that favourites tag as it does no favours.

Genuinely think this is the best chance to win a world cup. So many aging sides focusing on past hero’s.

Spain would be an exception to that ruling

Looks like Raphinha's confidence is shot after those missed chances.

I got him at 8/1 to have over 2 shots on target.

1 more please. Even if it is a backpass, like the previous 2!

It's worth remembering that due to Covid etc Brazil haven't played European teams consistently for quite a few years - not a surprise that playing Serbia is more difficult than most people expect.

If only some of them played in Europe

I get the point though.

If we are looking for someone to partner Faes next season, Serbia’s Milenkovic would be a good shout

There used to be a certain mystique surrounding the Brazilian players.  Now that most of them play over here in Europe, they're no longer the unknown quantity that they once were.

That’s the problem with the World Cup. We see these players so often that there is nothing new to discover  in tournaments such as this

He'd be a great shout but suspect out of our financial range.

Erm, what about Maguire, Shaw, Sterling, Grealish

Yer but we are talking about brazil here think back to the great brazil sides you think they would of had players thats didn't even light up teams like Everton and leeds

Richarlison shins it in from 7 yards into an open goal and he's the deadliest marksmen at this world cup according to BBC

I am actually quite impressed with Brazil. They face a strong defensive Serbian side and has created quite a few chances. Deserved lead.

Thought I would end up being annoyed with Neymar and Richarlison, but they have not been that bad today with the play-acting.

That defence is there to be got at for a team with a more potent attack thats for sure.
