Mate, a couple of months ago you were slating Barnes saying he's mentaly weak, hasn't made that step to the next level and that we'd be better without him...

Just before he scored I was about to say Justin had done all right on the right and would be a good option for Southgate if we had issues with injuries in defence with his flexibility. Then he did that.

I think at some point I’d like to see Vestergaard, Albrighton, Braybrooke, Mendy and Iheanacho on for Faes, Justin, Ndidi, Soumare and Barnes - and as early as possibly please.

Much prefer him on the right side, than the left. Seems way more comfortable going forwards.

he’s spent all season on the left refusing to kick with his left foot… one game on the right and he bends one in with it 😂

Cut inside and turned into prime Arjen Robben, curled left footer from just outside the box. Keeper no chance.

Wowzer. A bit like his FA Cup goal at Stoke? Thought I think he came off the left that time, and he’s playing right back tonight I think.

The double pivot of Ndidi and Soumare without Maddison against Newport is bizarre, and it cries out for Braybrooke to inject some creativity, ideally after another goal if possible, but it won’t happen—we’ll see Brunt in some bizarre middle finger to the academy and the prospect of integrating a much needed midfield playmaker.

I think it may be a good idea for Vards to consider retirement.

Shit defending at that corner.

we should probably train him to play in attack..

He probably was considering it before we offered him a new contract.
