Top teams don’t make get spankings as often as we have over the last few years. That includes the seasons we finished 5th. All to often, it’s truly embarrassing

I have never known a team to have such a fragile mentality.

Do we employ a Psychologist?

Is Brendan too arrogant to want one?

Everything at the top level is won in that extra 1% in the brain, and these players show that they are mentally weak time and time again.

Brendan thinks he is a psychologist, but he is just David Brent. That’s why we are as weak as piss

More importantly a number of the players aren't good enough.

We don't have a manager that compensates for it, too.

No we still try and play the same brand of football with lesser players.

Sometimes you have to adapt to the tools at hand.

Oh god. Here comes Rodgers again.

”We’ve gotta be more aggressive.”

He’s not wrong but how long has he been saying that. When’s he going to do something about that?

It reminded me of last season vs Spurs then Forest on 2 occasions within 4 days conceding 2 in 2 minutes, it just shouldn’t happen. When facing a tidal wave you look to ride it out by breaking it up and stemming the momentum. Tug a shirt to get 11 behind the ball, get closer to them. It needs to be drilled in psychologically - how will you react to conceding against a team who can taste blood? The fact we had the Spurs farce then a repeat days later was more worrying than the outcome of the games, it exposed something extremely fragile, our mentality, leadership and composure going AWOL when most needed.

The squad has deteriorated so badly, from looking strong in almost every position, to having half the team or more nowhere near good enough. God knows what happens when Maddison and Tielemans go.

Combination of aging players, injuries and a poor window in 21/22 spend decenting money on the likes of Daka, Soumare and Vestergaard 70m odd with not one making a impact.

Vardy, Evans the wrong side of 35 and Kasper moving on.

Ricardo and Justin destroyed by injuries.

I'd also argue we have sold poorly, Soyuncu and Tielemans should never have been able to run there contracts down under 2 years. 60m worth of talent walking out the door for peanuts.

Going to take something of a rebuild to get back to the heights of 19/20, 20/21.

Probably relegation follows once them 2 leave. We're a reflection of our manager, no steel or strength of character. Just crumble when the going gets tough.

The whole thing has such a feel of a drag about it. From the manager to the players to the fans. Nobody seemed up for it at any point.

We're a soft side with a manager, and consequently fanbase that have become about excuses. It's all very latter Wenger's Arsenal with about a third of the talent.

We're in a very weird position as a club. There are plenty of players with one eye on the door quote publicly. This can't do wonders for the squad desire to win.

Whilst I love him dearly, giving Youri the armband sends a really poor message about the club, too.

I can only speak for myself (Although I think many others feeling the same way) but i've not been able to get excited or up for a game for a few years now.

I pin today on the players, they didn't look bothered or arsed. Can I blame them playing under Rodgers? Not at all. Should they have some professional pride? Absolutely.

As for myself as a fan, I also should be excited and up for games, it's my hobby, my passion, but it's just apathy. It's a horrible feeling.

We're polar opposites of what this club used to be about.

Was just looking for a Tielemans thread to say something similar.

What example is set by your captain being someone who doesn't want to be here and someone that with all due respect comes across with little personality and drive.

I mean I can't blame any player for not wanting to be here being managed by Rodgers but even so.
