I was thinking driving home that if someone put a gun to my head and made me support a London club, I'd probably chose QPR.

Row in front of me - some bloke was cuddling his mrs and she had her eyes closed - not sure if fully asleep - but he was enabling this behaviour. They left on 88 mins for what it’s worth

Sorry mate but it's so very, very rare she stops talking in the day I had to take advantage of the opportunity.

I think the atmosphere now can be traced back to the fan base we gained from 2016. We have a large group of fans (I doubt many would post on here) so if you have been supporting us pre-2016 and would consider attending an away game, this probably doesn't apply to you.

These fans got caught up in all the hype surrounding the miracle, probably enjoyed the following Champions League year and FA Cup win, but now the reality of supporting Leicester is kicking in they realise they'd prefer to browse Tiktok or spend 50 minutes in a cold concourse supping on battery acid and queuing for overpriced junk. They wouldn't know what an away game is and would have never considered going - that's why there is such a huge difference between our die-hard away fans. Singing a song is way down on their list of things to do - trust me!

I see the same family all over the KP. There will be 3 or 4 kids messing on with each other, not paying attention to anything happening on the pitch. Dad will go off on 35 mins and return on 65 with about £80 (no joke) worth of food and drink, dish it all out not paying attention to anything happening on the pitch. It's such a weird mentality and it's something I never saw in the past.

We all probably know a family that has suddenly become 'fans' since the miracle. They have a distorted understanding of the reality of football and Leicester City.

One benefit (and I'm struggling to think of many more) of suffering for a bit in the Championship would that a lot of these 'fans' or better described as 'visitors' to the KP would get recycled, a lot like the squad of over paid rubbish would too.

Yet the collection of old boys around us turn up late and leave early (both halves), tap your shoulder if you stand up for a bit, more than happily say they've been 'coming for years so what do you know', never sing and spend most of the games moaning.

But saying that there are some old boys in front of us who are brilliant fun. Lets just not blame everything on one demographic.

Not the skinheads we bumped into on the tube back from White City in 1979!  :nono:

Was gonna say, the White City side of their ground can be a bit ropey. Remember taking a cheese cob to the head outside The Springbok (I think the pub's called?) after a Friday night game there around 15 years ago.

I'm not sure that's as relevant as you think.

We were running on pretty much full houses every week the season before 2015-16, so I don't really see us getting that many new fans post 2016.    Some maybe, but not that many.

The section gave it a good go as always yesterday but there was very little to get behind. The support really needs to be galvanised now and really get behind the team. I’m not sure if any other parts of the ground are up to it truth be told

I used to watch Brentford until they became popular. This season I’ve been to the Valley quite a few times.Charlton is in the arse end of London and their fanbase is real. Plus they have been served up nearly two decades worth of krud.AFC Wimbledon are also worth a visit as a neutral.Very well ran club and great atmosphere

I think that many of the out-of-the-woodwork types arrived when we last won the Championship. Remember the queues around the stadium for season tickets. I think that most would've fuch'd off by now if we hadnt managed the great escape.

I’ve experienced more atmosphere, vibrancy and passion in a bowl of stale cereal at a horrifically bad ‘recycling networking event’ that I accidentally walked into in Munich, than down the KP in recent years.

Knew we were in for a naff day as soon as I got to the stands in SK1. Atmosphere was back to the usual crappy mumbling once you got 3 rows from Union FS. I know the result was the same but the atmosphere was chalk and cheese compared to Middlesbrough.

It was a key game, why bother coming if you're going to stand there staring at the floor and making more noise moaning about Ipswich going ahead than backing the lads? I wish we could play the rest of our games away this season, I honestly do, at least our ends do seem to be picking up on recent experience.

Just a crap day all round. Fair play to QPR, one of the best away ends down here all season and merited their win.

Wonder from people like @SemperEadem how does UFS want the club to help improve the atmosphere and would you like to see the idea of a new kop with safe standing bringing all like minded fans together

Members tonight have come back from a meeting with them. How I read the feedback as its pretty disappointing from

the clubs side of things.

Got to be mindful of stuff on here as they watch it like a hawk and are very prissy about what gets said. Lots of oh we will look into that or no not right now. Kicking stuff away into the long grass.
Very obviously don’t have the atmosphere in the stadium as very high on the list of importance. I wan’t to be positive about the ground redevelopment but I just can’t see them utilising a golden chance.

Can’t stress how important having fans voice their thoughts at the forum night in-front of club staff could be. Them hearing it from none ufs faces will be crucial.

So club are coming? Hopefully it brings about a change. Sick of hearing “we will look into it and work is going on behind the scenes” there’s probably good people in the club wanting things to happen but ultimately they can only present ideas from us to the powers at the top. I’d like to know who are the people who actually make the decisions.
