I take some comfort in knowing if we go down it’s going to cost Top millions.

But with most owners the debt is loaded onto the club, these super rich protect themselves.  So be careful what you wish for!

Surely the great Top wouldn’t do that to us, he loves the club

There are people who genuinely believe that. Mind blowing.

Ey? Hyperbole?

I'm sorry, we've been shit in most part for 2 years, not just since the resumption of the World Cup.

We have shown 'character and quality to turn form around'....in patches but it always comes back to Rodgers' style, philosphy and the way he sees the game to be played...as I said we've had this for 2 years, it's a revolving cycle - not to mention those words are what Rodgers has made a career on.

Talking about transfers - Where was this in the summer? This wasn't the narrative we were being fed by Rodgers or the club. Obviously we find ourselves in a dog fight now and that is what's changed but in terms of worrying about FFP and not have enough space within the squad nothing's changed and that is what we were being fed.

The manager is continually throwing the ownership, board, players and fans under the bus.

I'm not sure what's hyperbolic in anything i've said as opposed to knowledge? If anything's a grey area perhaps my opinion and views on the transfers part but even so it's certainly different to everything we were being told in the summer, right? or wrong?

”We’ll need everyone together today - our players, staff and supporters” - Hmmm tell your manager that when he keeps chucking everyone under the bus, ownership, board, players and fans.

“That’s where the team is at. It’s nowhere near the level I would want it to be, in terms of quality.”

Very together and motivational.

….

Will just quote this, that is literally all there is to it beyond a bunch of piss and wind in here, it’s the start, the end and the reality.

Perhaps I do you a monstrous disservice and you have some hotline or factual insight into the club, but all I hear is hyperbole based on interviews or performances or any other item that could be bent into a stick to beat the manager with, this my suggestion that our outrage is based on hyperbole and unprovable suggestion, or unprovable conclusions.

If anyone thinks that Rodgers is somehow ‘fooling’ the entire club hierarchy, then well, you are beyond saving as they are not children, they are capable individuals, and no Northern Irish goblin is going to trick them no matter good his blarney and they are being done a great service.

There are many causes for our struggles in the last few years in my opinion and one of those is Rodgers, the others are the pandemic and it’s effect on the financial plans of the club, the recent global financial situation, against impairing our agility in the market, both for players and cash flow, does it warrant his expulsion?  Maybe!  :dunno:

I do not seek to absolve Rodgers, there are many instances where it seems he could be smarter, show more guile, be more empathic to fans, even occasionally be more pragmatic,  and even if Iam outraged (I am not) he gets a free pass,  cause I actually have no other pass to give him as I am not Top.

No he isn’t wrong, but he certainly had funds and time to ensure we didn’t get into this mess

He's not wrong but it's his management that got us into this position. Multiple players in our squad are good enough for a top half team when on form and playing well as a team, take todays squad, Faes, Castagne, Tielemans, Barnes, Maddison, Soyuncu, Iheanacho, all good enough for top half IMO. Vardy I'd have added too but i'm not sure if he's just gone to shit or if it's the tactics that are the issue. We have good players, the problem is we have zero confidence, and we keep picking up injuries.

This weakened squad is more than good enough to be comfortable given just how bad the bottom half of the table is. (On form)
Add Soumare, Evans, Justin, Pereira to that and you're looking at fighting for top half. (On form)
the problem is 80% of that squad are playing badly.
