Will history repeat itself :o

Did we ever suffer such a terrible season, going down to the 3rd tier was awful but this season did not have any redeeming features. Absolutely nothing  was good about it.

45 years ago?! Blimey, I was there and remember the match being in doubt right up to kick off as it was absolutely chucking it down. Got soaked in the open roof away end. Very miserable day.

Didnt know that City sold Frankie Wortho so that he got a signing on fee to avoid bankruptcy.

The Tiger but that's probably a 15 minute walk. If you're in the car the Bell on the Birmingham Rd is on the way in as well. If on the train stick to Brum or go into Walsall would be the best bet.

Be nice to see them 😐

But you get nothing for a pair...not in this game....

One thing's for sure, though, is it'd be a good game, good game.

Neither did l!

Loved the bloke, he had the same design for life as James Hunt - enjoy everything as often as possible and flaunt it baby, flaunt it.

But what a different world, Frank was sold for 20k!

lmagine a star prem striker today such as -say - JV ever being in danger of bankruptcy.

They'd need to be owning a failing space flight company.

There is a piece today in the Daily Fascist with the Walsall manager complaining about this game not being televised….

Pretty sure it is being televised, just via the red button?

When’s the presser?

2.15pm

I'm nervous that he's going to be really negative about us getting new players in after being so confident at the weekend. Feel sick

Brendan Rodgers Pre-Match Press Conference vs Walsall

Evans

“It’s going well. He’s out on the grass with the rehab team. At some point over the next week to 10 days, he will be getting closer to joining the group.”

Praet

“Thankfully it’s not as bad. There’s no ligament damage in his ankle. He was in training.”

Ricardo

“He’s training well. It’s the early stages of him being back. It’ll be a few weeks before we think about putting him in an Under-21s. He looks very good in fairness.”

Ndidi

“He’ll be out on the grass at the weekend. He should join the group next week.”

Bertrand

“He’s been out for a long time and has been working with the Under-21s. Because of the intensity of the group, you have to stage it.”

Any fresh injuries?

“Perez is back in the squad in the weekend. Hopefully some players will be able to get minutes.”

Kristiansen?

“We’re delighted to have him, and he’s not just for now and for the future. He’s behind a little bit because of the season in Denmark. But he’s shown up very well. He’ll be in the squad at the weekend and we’ll see what game-time he can get.”

Transfers?

“The wheels are in motion. My concentration has been with the team.”

Transfer priorities?

“I don’t prioritise. They are important areas for us to support the squad and increase competition. Hopefully over the coming days we can do something.”

I'm hearing Kristiansen isn't up to speed with his fitness. For gods sake don't risk him if hes not ready. You just know with our injury record this will end in tears - of the hamstring variety.

Early shout for line of the year on FT. :appl:

Let’s hope it’s more about including him in Leicester City’s match day build up etc and he’ll get 10 minutes run out at the end of the game IF we are comfortable

We seem to have had so many players “out on the grass”, but not actually playing in the last few seasons. It feels like we may as well just employ a herd of cows!

Unless you're Danny Ward in which case don't worry about how good your direct competition is.
