Kristensens the only one I’d be starting too. Him and Maddison back in on the right suddenly massively strengthens our two weakest areas. Thomas has been getting weaker game by game, he’s gotta drag him surely :facepalm:

I agree... Doesn't mean much. The guy who makes that decision point blank refuses to play the only striker we have who remotely looks like scoring.

After us crying out for RW , then we get one and u want to leave him on the bench ( is this u rodgers ) we don’t have any time to waste, we need points against teams around us , so play all three , if they got a pulse 🙄

I know we would like to see all 3 new boys play….but.

 

kristianssen….He looks ready..& up for the fight,but could 

            We look & be expecting to much…

Tete..maybe normally he would come from the bench 1st game,

 

Souttar…Not played for awhile…Coming in from Hip injury

       CB..hard position to come in as sub…whoever that may be…Are we one game too early..

 

All 3 questions over game fitness ( 90 minutes). Towards the end giving away late goals is our weakness…

Win,draw or lose..this is our start to rebuild. To put our ethos on how we slowly we want to play.

I don’t expect any rash positive turn around,but I want to see our players play,with a point to prove,and our tactics showing more pace &  commitment to go up acouple of notches. That from our players selected from old guard…

Those words intensity ,clinical , purpose shown from the new boys..

The team drags itsself,up a few notches,and the influence coming from all sides…

Assuming all of the new boys are fit and we aren’t risking injury or longer term set backs with Kristiansen’s pre-season fitness levels and Souttar’s knock, then for me they all have to start. 
 

We’ll have had a new system/set-up in mind that these guys will slot into, and I think there are some major merits to going all in on game 1 and giving an opponent something really different to think about. We’ve been far too predictable and easy to play against recently and it’s nice to have options again rather than scraping the barrel with injuries. I’d go something like:
 

Ward

 

Castagne Souttar Faes Kristiansen 

 

Mendy Tielemans 

 

Tete Maddison Barnes 

 

Iheanacho

 

I’m not 100% with leaving KDH out but I don’t see us starting without a player to screen the back 4, and I don’t think Tielemans will miss out. 
 

With better balance on both wingers, I’d like to see Iheanacho start to link up and bring the 3x quality attacking players behind him into the game but suspect it’ll be Daka who is favoured.

Fluidity with Tête and Madders being able to drift. Youri and KDH gonna have to put in a shift to support fullbacks.

Just swap the keeper and that’s the team  I would like. Barnes has been awful recently

Tete will start  he had been playing for Lyon ,so his fitness is not in question.

Come on man, get back to reality. We know it’s not going to happen 😂 would genuinely be amazed to see Tete start, unless he’s wowed in training. It’s tough to bed people into the premier league. Even more so at an away day like villa.

Why is everyone so quick to drop KDH?  There is no way that’s happening…

 

So, the key question is how do you get a balanced team that has a CDM (Mendy or Wilf) alongside everyone else you should pick?

 

Youri, Barnes, Maddison, Tete (Nacho, Daka or Vardy)

We all know the first 20 we will look like we've never kicked a football before and make a retreat to our 6 yard line...its just if Villa take or squander thr inevitable 4 or 5 chances early doors
