So you dont think we should start the newbies, as it might be asking too much, and you want too see alot more from the old guard, which we haven't  seen since before the WC, Villa 2 Leicester 1 (if we are lucky), use Tete and Kristensen we might get a draw, or possibly a win, the newbies are raring to go, Soutter gets 10 mins if that due to injury and recovery if ready of course.

Really interesting to see what he picks today.  Has Brendan had a shape in mind that he is just going to execute?,  or is he going to nudge to it bit by bit. Are some players (Barnes, Madders, KDH, Youri) undroppable, even though we sit 1 point above relegation? If we've wanted wingers, then I think its KDH who gets benched, but if that's the case then Brendan needs to utilise him as a plan b so we don't just depend on our starting 11 and sub like for like. I think he will go for:

Souttar will be phased in, and Barnes (despite most people reservations of his form) has earned the right to play in a system with 2 wingers as this varies our attack. Only parts of that line up i don't like are Amartey (but i don't see any other way right now), and Mendy.

Cags won't play but hope we go with that front 6 as it maximises the number of players who might score or assist. The lack of a CDM and having Faes and Amartey at CB will leave us very vulnerable defensively, but let's just have a go for once.

I just give varying pov ,not just chase,what I would like to see…

Plus NO scenario guarantees, any wish result..

I have some delusional confidence that the lads at kickoff will look like they've all had a nose beer or two and give them a match from the start. I reckon we shall see a confidence thats been lacking since WC.

I agree but playing the same old guard as you put it, with undoubtedly the same system, will get us the same result, a loss, that's near as dam it guaranteed especially against in form Villa, let's see what Khristensen and Tete can bring to the game, they're up for it.

It is a tough one as we really do need Barnes, Tete and Nacho/Daka up top, and we also need the shield in front of the back 4 from mendy. Maddison has to play and KDH and Youri both offer something different to the team so tough call. Nice to actually have a selection headache rather than having to play the same team every week

After a bit of a fight against Brighton there were some real positives and a few negatives but with the new lads on board especially Tete on the wing and young Victor who looks like he can handle himself both in defence and in attack,  I’ve got a feeling we will click into place today and take all 3 points and the ones below fail to grab any points to give us a bit of breathing space !

I don’t care if this is a cheeky 0-1 a rebound from a Madders free kick or shot off somebody’s Arse to give us the win but really hoping Brendan has done his homework will pick our strongest team to Bring home the 3 points, looking forward in seeing Tete & Victors PL debuts maybe Soots too our luck surely has to change soon and I’m hoping it’s today 🙏

...not sure a home game against Spurs is going to be less daunting!!!

  Tete would be eager to get on the pitch as early as he can. We messed up with leaving it so late introducing Daka as a starter in the Premier League.
