Kristiansen - Not match fit still - has only played 30 competative minutes since 13th Nov 2022, & that wasn't at Premiership speed.

Tete - Needs more time to settle in and adapt - No reason why he shouldn't play or even start been here a week so should have trained, would expect to see him.

Souttar - Arrived with a small injury - Has missed Stoke's last 2 games due to a "small injury" Stoke were adamant he was injured & not causing issues due to potential transfer :dunno:

I was joking on what i expect Rodgers to say.

 

Ultimately no reason Tete shouldn't start tbf

We’ve seen Rogers get out thought by a tactically more astute coach many times before. For our sake I hope for once Rogers plays it smart here and doesn’t get too excited.

 

dick emery will have 2 plans. One that was prepared a few weeks ago which he will probably stick to and one he will change to depending on what Rogers does in the game with our new players he has.

this is one where if we can’t win it please don’t lose it mr rogers and if we are leading for god sake don’t throw it away in the dying minutes close out the game.

Sorry forgot to add that confidence will be high and the team needed this boost! I’m more focused on our regular players performing to the high level they are capable of and seeing out a tough fought win which is very possible if they get their heads out of the sand.

A big test this one, it always is at their place but even more so now Emery is there. Players and fans will be galvanised by the new project under him, have to say it is a top appointment by Villa. Just hoping we can get ourselves through these run of games reasonably well, the new signings should make an impact and if we manage to get a few back from injury that will only help things.
