Honestly today I just felt exasperated at most of our play and players. The team and manager were truly awful today. Kristiansen for me is the only player that can hold his head high.

Ward - everyone sat around me agreed that we have no faith in his shot stopping. Every time the opposition gets a shot it feels like its going in. Did not feel like this when we had Kasper. We need a new GK full stop.

Defensively I didn't think we did too badly. Arsenal didn't really have many clear cut chances.

Midfield. This is where we lost the game. Rogers has a lot of blame to be had here. Mendy should not have been dropped. Simple. Ndidi is not good enough at the moment. Then to bring on soumare was his biggest mistake. He's possibly the worst player to play for us, certainly the laziest player to play for us.

KDH with all his work ethic etc has no real skill on the ball. He fails to see the easy passes. There was a moment where Barnes and Nacho were running through in the first half. Would have taken a simple through ball to give us a chance and instead he doesn't see it and decides to dribble the ball. Kills the break and it amounts to nothing.

Tete just has a lot to learn. Lots of potential but that's all it is at the moment. Loses the ball too easily. Nacho tried bless him. But he struggled today. Barnes was gash. Keep saying it but he's the least intelligent player we've probably ever had.

For BR to bring on Praet bemused me. What position did Praet actually play?

Need Ricky to come back fit and ready to start.

Without Madders I'm fearful. Even against Southampton I just don't see where the creativity will come from without him.

We’re a hideously boring and average team to watch when Maddison isn’t playing. KDH, Praet and Ndidi as a midfield 3 is perhaps the least technically adept midfield in the whole league.

Sick of KDH never using his right foot, the weakness for a player of his level is astounding. It’s holding up his development massively

It's not holding up his development, because this is probably as good as it will get for him, because if he's not going to use his right foot at the age he is now, then he's never going to use it.

Zinchenko is a good player. When arsenal attack both full backs push high to try and overload the opposition, Zinchenko sits in like a left sided DM position when they are in possession with Martinelli hugging the touch line.

They didn’t play their best today but tactically and set up wise Arteta has done a great job.

You’re probably right - it’s just so frustrating

Do all managers do this ? Go off and overly praise an entire opposition nearly every week ? Maybe it’s because so many interviews are recorded/easy access to get to that I haven’t noticed this in the past.

However, to me this is ****ing weird. You’ve just lost and not had a shot on target. You’ve coached that side for an entire week. You set them up. You spoke before, during and after the game to them. You’ve been schooled by a man whose managed teams for nearly ten years less than you. You’re in a relegation fight. Your best players want to leave and all you feel it’s absolutely fine to praise an opposition team more than, yeah good side and good luck to them. We’re a weak club and will continue to be so if things like this are ok.

Swear Madders is the same though and never gets called out for it (because he's our best player)? The outside of the boot stuff looks flashy but is just because he doesn't want to use his left.

It's just his feeble attempt at diversion tactics away from his own inadequacies. Unfortunately it works

Doesn’t stop JM creating chances though. It’s stopping KDH playing simple through balls or down the line passes because he’s a PL player who can’t use his weak foot

We could have had an hour added time, we still would be in the same position.

Too many average players.

We have become a one man team in Maddison.

...we are not a poor team of players, just take a look at our bench today!!!

Rodgers had a plan, it was perhaps the right idea, poorly organised. A 5-4-1 would have been a more prudent formation, perhaps we became caught between 2 styles and ideas.

After all that we had shown previously, the surprise was that we changed our shape and style in this game. We may have list to United, but the talk was what might have been not that we were disappointed in the effort made by the team.

We are much more than a one man team, we have played poorly when Maddison has been in the team before.

Maddison has a left foot but prefers his right. KDH does not have a right foot nor does he have the technique (or maybe confidence, who knows) to use the outside of his left. There was a point in the Spurs game where he twice tried to play a fairly simple pass out to Tete with his left instep and twice curled it behind him and out of play. It's pretty grim stuff.

How do u create chances when ur so called so stars can’t hold the ball or pass it to a team mate . Arsenal had players who had three players around them yet they where able to play out , they held the ball so much better than we did , BUT really we don’t have the skills that they have . And it was back to the old go back or go across the field even if they could turn and go forward , such boring football

Truly awful. Just proves how much of our goals tally is because of the individual quality of Maddison and to a degree Tielemans rather than good coaching.

Goal difference didn't take too much of a hit and maybe GD might be the difference at the end of the season. Watching that today was punishment though.

I'm getting to the stage where I'd actually be embarrassed if we avoided relegation. We tried to hold out for a 0-0 draw today at home and when that failed we had no answer
