The worst thing is that over the last month Arsenal have shown a vulnerability and it was there again today. We just had no clue how to expose it. I don't know if the woeful defending against Utd made us regress but what's the point turning up to a game if that's what we're gonna offer in an attacking sense?

Might as well give up now if we're not going to try. You could tell after two minutes today that we would lose this game. 

The caller into Talksport who said we're over this tough run and we've got Southampton up next was rightly corrected by Gabby Agbonlahor; who said if we play like that against Southampton, we'll lose.

It was embarrassing. If we are the only side down there that doesn't try, we'll go down.

What were the tactics; the first shot after 77 minutes, at home? Come on, really!

I also expect an ‘elite’ (heavily inverted commars) manager to be able to come up with solutions that enable a shot on target over 90 minutes, regardless of the Opposition.

 

Today’s performance was totally pathetic, I don’t care who the opposition is.

I don’t understand why he doesn’t change formation instead he changes players and sticks with the same tactics which haven’t worked. Why not stick Souttar up front in injury time and go long. Obviously that wouldn’t be brand Brendan.

Poor performance, definitely didn't work with Praet playing at 10, as there was no support for Nacho. Once KDH went to 10, we actually started to do something, and it played to his strengths and freed him up to do more work aggressive work off the ball and make supporting runs and allowed us to actually do some pressing when Arsenal had the ball. We didn't really pressure them at all until after 60 minutes. But by that point, Arteta had been possessed by the ghost of Neil Warnock, so no more football was played. Every time we tried to press, an Arsenal player hurled themselves to the floor and Pawson did his usual Big 6 sidekick job of making sure there was absolutely no chance of them coming under any pressure, as tackles or standing within a 10 metre radius of an Arsenal player was strictly forbidden. Then we got to 80 minutes, at which point Jorginho sat down, and the rest of normal time was spent on 2 throws in, which is about the most Warnock thing you ever saw in your life. Which was followed by a completely inaccurate amount of added on time, and Aaron Ramsdale confirming that he is indeed a very expensive version of Paddy Kenny by celebrating his superb time wasting by dancing round like an absolute tool.

 

What a shit afternoon.

Grim game. Like others have said a complete waste of an afternoon

Arsenal won't have any easier games than that.

Premier league football really is the pits. Players cheating, refs not able to work out the correct amount of injury time and the farce that is VAR. The games a shit watch now.

As soon as I saw Maddison was out the little bit of hope I had was near enough extinguished. 
 

A strange but awful game. No corners or shots on target and never really looking like we had actually turned up but only losing 1-0 to team who really didn’t look like Champions elect. 
 

They need to show a whole lot more.
