It was that quote where he went to the point of no return for me. Just a complete and utter lie which makes us look bad (particularly given we've tolerated it) and himself better. A damning reflection that this rubbish wasn't picked up on by more fans / media.

He has successfully brainwashed parts of the media, the rest of football and worst of all, some of our own fans that we're this piss pot nobody lucky to even be in the league. Somebody like Puel would never have gotten away with it.

Only this fvcking muppet would say something like that. He's that far up his own arse and has no respect for the

A) club

B) owners

C) players

D) fans

I would not even wish him on the trees or the sheep or covscum.

But I'd love him to go to spuds.

I've never had such little interest in our great club as I've had since he arrived. I've left games early and struggle to even watch them on the box. He's sucking the life out of the club the players and even the fans.

What I find most confusing is why he didn't swallow pride and do some obvious things like drop ward , play to vardy's strengths, bring back Soy.

Because not doing so got him the sack and he ended up looking worse, which is the antithesis of what he wants to do. Unless it is all about getting a pay off.

...just take a look at the narrative he has spun, and the perception he has in the media!!!

We (LCFC) are perceived to have been lucky to have had him, and it was only our inability to back him in the transfer market that has led to our situation. He is in no way tarnished outside of this club, and I still suspect a fair few in our fanbase still believe he was hard done by.

Not really sure enough has come out yet to stop him walking into another PL job in the summer. Shame.

He doesn't need to do another stroke of work for the rest of his life. Football managers are fentanyl addicts though, they cannot give it up, look at that creep Warnock.

Would absolutely wound him if he doesn't get a job this summer. Ego in tatters.

I just get angry reading about the man. I want him to get another job to great fanfare, then fail miserably.

The fact that he is being touted for potential managerial roles at Leeds - and even Spurs - in the near future suggests that he has no tarnished reputation outside of Leicester. On one hand, not surprising given how long Top gave him in the role (4 years) but on the other hand amazing to think of too really!!

No point in getting wound up by it. As he engineers moves to a more media covered club the same things will happen and they'll all act like they had been saying he's no good all along.

I'm not 'wound up' by it like some tbh, I'm just glad he's no longer at the helm! I was just amazed that seeing how some managers were cast aside in recent Prem. times at the likes of Wolves, Leeds, Southampton (twice!), Bournemouth, Spurs and Chelsea this season alone that Rodgers was afforded soooo much time up to the start of April! Tuchel won the Champions League for Chelsea for e.g. in 2021 and they were still doing ok in the league when he was sacked  - yet was still sacked early doors this season! Whereas we were winless for our first seven league games and then went on two horrible runs again this season to follow after the World Cup and after those two rare back to back wins in early February. It is a classic 'points the way' to a relatively clueless board really in my eyes but let's hope they got it right in the nick of time with the appointments of Smith, Shakey and Terry!!

Im just happy he's finally gone. I dont care if he does or doesnt get a PL job after us and whether he succeeds or fails at his next club.

The media narrative on whether we were justified to sack Rodgers doesnt matter, we all know that he left one of our best ever squads in tatters and the direction that he was sending the club in.

Indeed - yet you get the feeling he'll still hold on to the "I would've saved them from relegation had they kept me on" narrative .... if we do go down!

I reckon he gets West Ham you know.

He is like a real life Nate from lasso so it would be apt.

It will be interesting to see what job he gets next. Whilst other fans and media are fooled by him. I do wonder if other owners are; it's quite a small world.

They've just watched us give him loads of power. Then he's spiked our wage bill, wasting loads on transfers. When it all went wrong, he sort of gave up; throwing our owners and club under the bus.

They aren't going to want to deal with that. Especially with the money he'll want paying. I could see him having to wait till next season when a team under performs and are desperate.

Simon Jordan was the only pundit who was calling our situation correctly. Precisely because he used to be an owner.

I suspect (and hope) that he's on the way down now. Liverpool was the high point of his career and Celtic is an easy job. He worked himself a splendid deal here...on the basis of a dubious CV. He's little more than con man. Someone will take him on, but they'll be naïve if they're expecting anything extraordinary from him.
