Not defending the bloke in anyway whatsoever, and the sooner we see the back of him the better, however Percy or the editor have been rather naughty by paraphrasing ‘Jon is seen like a bad cop, but we won Premier League because of him'. Top did not actually say that.

 

The actual quote was “Jon is [seen as] like a bad cop. When we won the Premier League, it was because of Jon too, but nobody talks about that anymore. We are trying to find a black spot in a white sheet all the time, which is normal, I do the same... ". 

 

There's clearly an inference that Rudkin played a part, but there's a huge difference between him having contributed, to 'we won it because of him'. 

 

Again not trying to defend either Rudkin or Top as the interviews conducted are an absolute car crash and raise serious questions about the running of the club in the recent past and the future, but I do think it's only fair that we deal in fact and not misquoted statements from a Forest fan who has his own agenda.

The insult is that we still don't properly know his role. But Top did allude to the things he's responsible for and it's absolutely mental. No human being alive could possibly do that remit because he made it sound like Rudkin is doing very operational things as well at the strategic stuff in a million areas of the business. Suspect Rudkin wouldn't be able to do them well if that was his only job but zero chance of being good at anything if statement from Top was true.

Rudkin obviously has to take blame for a lot that’s gone wrong, but my lord, working for someone as clueless as top

I'm just pulling your collective leg, leaving everything until the last couple of hours of deadline day is embarrassing lack of planning - we've thrown away so many points with our piss-poor squad throughout January that we could now be in a relegation scrap. Well done for wasting half the window trying to get Antonio's legs to work. 

 

And STILL no actual striker. We've got two wastemen who will be nursing themselves until their contract expires in the summer, and a teenager on loan who's by all accounts a midfielder.
