Absolutely f*** this football club and its constant ability to fail and crumble under pressure. I remember at one point in Jan we were 13 points ahead of 3rd and 17 in front of Leeds. I wonder if any championship team has ever been in that position and not gone up automatically. 1
Popular Post Hinckleyfox Posted 17 March 2024 Popular Post Posted 17 March 2024 No denying this is a tough pill to swallow but a bit of perspective. Both Leeds and Ipswich are on phenomenal runs, and runs that are probably at the stage where they’re going to come to an end before the seasons out. And if it doesn’t, then frankly they DESERVE to go up, forget about what we have or haven’t done. We are coming off the back of a rough patch.. and that’s all it is… a patch of poor form. If this patch had been any other part of the season we wouldn’t be suggesting they are bottling it. I think those laying in to enzo and the players should remember this. Any other season and we would still be walking the league. We have had ONE dodgy spell where we haven’t come straight back and on to a ridiculous streak of winning games but unfortunately there are 2/3 other teams that are also on for an incredible points tally. Whoever misses out have every right to feel hard done by. 5
Md9 Posted 17 March 2024 Posted 17 March 2024 Think it was always going to be an easy win today for Leeds to be honest. A point at hull wasn’t to bad in the end as in means we are level on points with a game in hand and not even more behind. Hopefully our bad run is over now and once we get Ricardo back and now wilf is back and hopefully vardy after the international break we can push on for the last 9 games 2

Also that Leeds perhaps won't win every single game from now til the end... Hope that's not being blindly positive. 4
coolhandfox Posted 17 March 2024 Posted 17 March 2024 Time to log off whilst this place becomes a cesspit of negative. See you at Bristol City. 3
phoneticerror Posted 17 March 2024 Posted 17 March 2024 Do I want to go back up? Yes. Do I want to go up playing like this? Not really. 1

splinterdream Posted 17 March 2024 Posted 17 March 2024 They still have a manager with a weird haircut, and a greasy face, whereas we have Enzo

Because this season is essentially do or die for the future of the club. If we don’t go up, we will be Stoke, Derby, Sunderland etc for the next five seasons and beyond. 1

You can’t sugar coat it any other way, as soon as the business end of the season arrived, we choked…… You can’t surrender a 13 point lead and pretend nothing is wrong, the bad run has come at the wrong time, and is now likely to be fatal. The fact Leeds will be top tonight is staggering, 13 into ago people weee laughing when some of us said Leeds would eventually go above us, and they have. Edited 17 March 2024 by Pliskin 1 1
The Doctor Posted 17 March 2024 Posted 17 March 2024 1 minute ago, Pliskin said: The more worrying thing is how often have we managed to arrest our slides in form over the last few years? We haven’t. To surrender the lead we had has just shown how fragile we are. But the bigger worry is we don’t have an experienced manager to guide us out of it. Leeds will cruise to the title now, because their manager knows exactly how to do it, Enzo And McKenna will essentially be shooting between one another, whoever holds their nerve wins. They're going top on goal difference having played a game more and we've already beat all 9 teams we've got to play, by a cumulative 25-7 margin. This willingness of fans, on here and in the stands, to throw in the towel is a massive part of the problem 4

sbfox Posted 17 March 2024 Posted 17 March 2024 (edited) We really do have one of the most pathetic fan bases in football. Some of you need to go outside and live a little. Edited 17 March 2024 by sbfox 2 1
Lambert09 Posted 17 March 2024 Posted 17 March 2024 Can someone with a good knowledge of the rules explain to me why Leeds are allowed to make 5 subs and we only seem to be allowed to make 1 or 2 ? 1

Shamomoa Posted 17 March 2024 Posted 17 March 2024 Not a great day today really gave a decent account of ourselves bur ultimately lost and now leeds going top of the championship to top it off... need to come out all guns blazing after the international break!!!
EastAnglianFox Posted 17 March 2024 Posted 17 March 2024 Sure at one stage our goal difference was about +15 ahead of Leeds. Crazy what happens when you don’t just sit one goal lead and actually go to kill a game off

Behind by only 1 goal with a game in hand so it isn’t the end of the world really. Let’s try enjoy the break still in the top 2 with a game in hand with some important players coming back after it and see how we get on. It’s not going to be easy it was never going to be we just made it look that way for a while. Every team below us has had bad runs and this is ours and luckily we had a cushion for us not to drop out of the automatics when we did .
