The contract on my iPhone 12 expired at the end of last month, I normally upgrade straight away and was looking at the iPhone 14 but for what I use it for there seems to be very little difference.

Gone to a considerably cheaper rolling month contract with O2, so just going to wait and see.

Just got myself an absolute deal on an upgrade from o2.

Thought I'd try the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5.

I'm paying less than I did for my S22, with more data.

They also let me upgrade 5 months early, at no extra cost.

£250 upfront payment applied, but didn't have to pay it.

Then from Samsung, I can claim Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and the Z Fold starter pack, a plug, case and S pen. Worth about £320

Don't know if this is allowed on here, but I'm now selling my mint condition S22, 256GB version if anyone is interested?

I know what they're going for on ebay, but I'd rather not lose 10%!

You've had an apology from Jesus Christ, so you can basically do anything.

Three months in, I'm taking this Samsung Z fold shit to exchange at the shop. Just can't get on with it or Android. I can only guess that people who use these have never owned an iPhone. Everything that should be intuitive isn't...and the keyboard is utter bollocks.

I recently lasted about 6 weeks with the new Google Pixel. Did my head in and finally went back to an iPhone this week.

Or, just swap it for a phone where everything works like it should from the get-go. My office is awash with Macs, MacBooks, iPad Pro - I’ve no idea what possessed me to try to branch out. My Windows machines are only for gaming, it’s not like I ever intended to move away from Apple for work. Pure idiocy.

Every time I see my daughters phone lying around its on between 1-10% battery.

Gives me the heebie-jeebies. How can people live like that?

I get a panic attack when my battery drops below 40%

Anyone got experience of Lebara ? My BT contract has ended and they want to move me to EE and put the price up.

Use them for 6 phones in my family. Uses Vodafone network so that may affect your decision. Not had to deal with any issues so can’t comment on customer service but they are the cheapest by a mile and when your cheap deal is up you can easily port out and start a new contract using another offer.

A word of caution for any Samsung users who haven't set up 2 step verification, Samsung will have done it for you.

I didn't set mine up so, wrongly assumed it wasn't active. My phone died/broke last week. Went to sign in to my old, emergency back up phone, and it wanted a code in addition to the password. So, tried logging into the website, same, it sent the 2 step code to my broken phone. I tried asking for a text or call but, as I didn't set it up, it went to a default Samsung number. After a week and a lot of discussion with the Samsung helpline they reset it for me. And, I've now got a set of back up codes.

So, check you have another mobile number on your account and get the back up codes. If your phone dies or gets stolen, you'll avoid a world of pain.

What’s the cheapest nfc phone going? I think I might be needing a spare fairly soon and want to avoid paying over the odds

https://uk.webuy.com/search?categoryIds=979&categoryName=Phones+Android&sortBy=prod_cex_uk_price_asc&availability=In+Stock+Online

Lots of cheap phone on here, I looked at a few for £10ish yesterday and they had NFC.

The second hand phone shops of Leicestershire might find business booming in the low cost phone market very shortly :D

Can anyone solve a mystery - can't view my browser on my phone when connected to a call - it's really strange. So if I put my phone on louspeaker and look something up on the internet - it's almost as though there's no data coverage. End the call and it's fine!

Anyone got a Samsung Galaxy S25+ or a Galaxy Z Flip 6? I'm due an upgrade but am undecided between the two. The flip seems a bit of a gimmick, and I'm not sure how robust it is, but I can see the benefits of the outer screen. And, no, I won't consider something other than a Samsung!

Is this the thread to raise how ridiculous it now is to set a new audio file that I downloaded as ringtone on an iPhone? Unless I’m missing something it just seems unnecessarily difficult, and I’ve sort of given up (not helped by not being able to find my old laptop charging cable that my iTunes is on).
