The potential of not beating them is torturing me. There's not a team I've wanted to beat more in years.

I can see a draw a mile off. Cagey. Wouldn't be at all surprised if it was 0-0.

Given our possible teething problems the last thing we needed was a big pressure game like that to start. On the flip side, win that and what a way to kick it off.

So far it's a 5/10.

The positives are Coady and Winks. Pretty confident both of them will be more than good enough at Championship level.

We need to get Doyle and Hermansen over the line and then focus on bringing in attacking midfielders and wingers. Otherwise I genuinely believe we'll struggle to break teams down, even in the championship.

Also players like Ndidi, Vestergaard, Praet, Castagne. They are done here. Maresca might be giving everybody a chance to start again with a clean slate but I personally can't forget how bad they've been. I know it's easier said than done but please just get rid before the end of the window.

This should have been the most brutal rebuild ever but it seems we're still stuck in last seasons funk.

I'd have thought Maresca would have brought in 5/6 players by now who can play his "assumed" style.

What's going on???

Enzo has moved to a club that really is giving him his one and only major shot at being a manager , he is surely bright enough to realise that if he leave recruitment to the dodos that got us relegated then this will be the only managers job he is likely to be given, I have to hope Enzo has stipulated that he can do it his way or he wouldn’t have taken the role

all in all I’m deeply worried by what is happening at the club, Rudkin and Top seem like Captain Manering and Pike at this stage

There's fans who are assuming the current crop will have a 'new lease of life' under Maresca and deserve a second chance.

It is mental.

The same fans will be calling for Enzo's head when we're 15th at Christmas.

5/10 so far, Don't get me wrong I'm very happy with Winks and Coady but clearly were struggling. I think its a balancing act financially, we need to move a few more on before we can complete anything.

Madders £40m - Coady & Winks

Barnes £30m - Doyle & Hermansen

I know its not like for like financially and everyone will think - We've received £70m but only spent £20m so we should be fine, were not fine! Relegation has cost us so much in revenue and we still have a premier league wage bill (Even after the relegation clauses)

Vestergaard - £40k a week and we'd want £5m Transfer fee.

Praet - £30k a week and we'd want £4/5m Transfer fee.

Ndidi - 40k a week and we'd want £7/8 Transfer fee.

Soumare - £45k a week and we'd want £10m Transfer fee.

Castagna - £30k a week and we'd want £10-12m Transfer fee.

Faes - £20k a week and we'd want £15m Transfer fee.

Nacho - £40k a week and we'd want £10m Transfer fee.

Daka - £40k a week and we'd want £15-20m Transfer fee.

Ward - £10k a week and we'd want £2/3m Transfer fee.

Iversen - £10k a week and we'd want £5/6m Transfer fee.

Ricardo - £40k a week and we'd want £10m Transfer fee.

Lets be honest, There's not many Premier league clubs queuing up to take any of the above on! So what do the club do? Gamble and still sign more players that Enzo wants?

Winks & Coady I'm happy with but thought we'd have at least another 2 in by now.

We do seem to faff so much more than other clubs though, Doyle in for his medical 2 days ago & absolutely nothing since. Why do we make everything seem so complicated?

Outgoings still worrying as well, how on earth are Castagne, Praet, Vestergaard & Soumare still here

Disappointing so far, but kind of expected. Teams will come in late for our dross as we'll probably lower our prices the closer we get to the season. And apart from Barnes, I don't think our lot will be considered top priority signings after performances last season, more likely to be last resorts when clubs cant sign their top targets.

i think Enzo would have had a good idea of what he was coming in to.

you are more than likely way off with your valuations and wages too.

More will leave, more will come in just takes time.

We still need a Barnes replacement + a RW. Unless we're playing a hybrid formation with no wingers like Man City.

Hermansen seem like a pretty good GK. Coady, Winks and Doyle are good signings.

I firmly believe Justin, Ricardo, Daka and Iheanacho will have a new lease of life.

I've seen worse players than Daka score 20 in the Championship. He might be a bit of a donkey in the PL, but he's good enough for the second tier.

I think the issue now is moving people on and that's not going to be easy, which yes is down to the SLT giving out ridiculous contracts.

No disrespect to them, they deserved it, but Burnley, Sheffield United and Luton going up probably means some players that would have gone to promoted teams but haven't because of the salaries. Luton have just signed Chong from Birmingham for £4M, thats the market they are in.

Also Enzo might rate some of the current players more highly than we imagine.

Daka will need the supply line, we have arguably one of the most ill equipped midfields out of any side with promotion ambitions. We need 2-3 new players and fast.

Sitting here adding my non-league home and aways into my calendar not getting wound up that the only thing of note from the last fortnight has been a million pound fine.

The lack of full squad revamp is ridiculous.

Need a creative midfielder as well. I'm not looking forward to Winks/KDH/Hamza/Ndidi/Samoure trying to create chances for us.

I think you'll be suprised at how much more creative they'll be in the Championship. Apart from Ndidi and Hamza of course. I don't see Ndidi staying anyway.

I reckon a lot of these links with positions we already have are because so many have gone in and said they want out.
