I think there was also the probability that Wolves saw how much we were paying him and said, "Nah, you're alright."
Chelmofox Posted 5 February 2025 Posted 5 February 2025 After Wolves signed 2 new center backs i presume he felt there was even less chance he got to play this season if he moved there. I think his main goal is to play as little as possible, so his podcasts and shout a lot in warm ups. For us, real danger Vesty gets phased out again and he has to play.
JimJams Posted 5 February 2025 Posted 5 February 2025 Let's hope they still want him in the summer, whatever division we're both in.
5waller5 Posted 5 February 2025 Posted 5 February 2025 This is widely reported as failing due to LCFC pulling out. It really is another example of the stupidity of the Board to keep hold of a player for his leadership ability that’s made public his desire to leave 1
iancognito Posted 5 February 2025 Posted 5 February 2025 He's been referred to as a leader for 2 years yet barely been played. Like most bench players he probably just wants to go somewhere he's played regularly. If I'd been dropped for Wout Faes I'd have walked to a new club. Didn't do too much wrong in that last spell he played and at least he doesn't just wander off up the pitch like the Belgian Bombscare. 3

We signed him though because he sat on England's bench and played a few friendlies. Shit player on big money signed by Gullible club....again! FFS!! 4
cityfanlee23 Posted 5 February 2025 Posted 5 February 2025 So just to clarify, Coady asked the club to leave a week or so after telling the fans on a podcast that there's real unity at the club and everyone is happy? And he decided to do this... on deadline day? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, if this is how he leads, I'd rather see us put him in the reserves for 6 months then sell him to league 1 when no prem clubs want him anymore. I really hope I'm wrong at least. 1
jayfox26 Posted 5 February 2025 Posted 5 February 2025 Do we have any centre backs other than Vestergaard that actually want to be here? Okoli homesick apparently. Coady wants out. Faes has wanted out for 18 months. At this point I'd just get Morgan and Huth out of retirement. Even Walsh and Elliott would give it more of a go than these absolute wasters 1

You know what I will take it. I will throw in a free cruciate ligament tear followed by an Achilles rupture after 10 games back.
Mickyblueeyes Posted 6 February 2025 Posted 6 February 2025 “At the time, a bit ironic really that I’m now at Leicester, but I think Leicester were winning. And I remember defending the corner and the away fans were obviously in the corner where at Goodison Park, where they are. “And I was facing that way because the corner was coming in from that side and we were defending it. And all I could hear was the Bournemouth fans singing, Leicester boys are 1-0 up. My a__ went, you know, lad. Oh, lad, my a__ went.” Coady continued: “Like mid-game, mate, I had goosebumps. Do you know what I mean? Full-on goosebumps, thinking I’ve never had that in a game. Like when you’re in a game, you’re in a game. You’re there, you’re focused. “Like that action, this action, that action, right? Where am I? Step the line up, drop, come here. You’re always in a game. But that one moment in my whole career, I’ve listened to a crowd and gone. Cause I never listened to a crowd.” Coady cant stop talking.
lgfualol Posted 6 February 2025 Posted 6 February 2025 Bloke has to play recordings of his own voice to fall asleep 1

Hopefully we get rid of Faes, Coady and Vesterguard in the summer. 1

Stadt Posted 6 February 2025 Posted 6 February 2025 Another signing plenty on here weren't keen on. Of our last bad 10 signings the sensible posters wouldn't have signed 8 or 9 of them. 2

Loudmouth Scouser with nothing left to give us. There's so many unlikeable characters, it's actually unbelievable. I keep banging on about this but it's zero standards from the top. Everyone's got a free reign to take the piss. Faes sums it up to me - supposedly in tears of happiness when he joined the club yet has somehow simultaneously managed to both be crap for two and a half years yet legitimise the idea he's above us. There's zero respect for this club from virtually anyone at it. The owner, the directors, and in turn, the players, managers, fans etc... just a total depressing mess. 5

We lack the spine of the team genuinely caring. We had identity with years of Kasper, Morgan, Vardy etc. Its all gone. This one might belong in the unpopular opinions thread but I don't think Vardy helps at times either. He certainly doesn't have the leadership of a captain, and I feel like he has just as much a chip on his shoulder as anyone when we have a right to complain about the team. 1

FoxFossil Posted 6 February 2025 Posted 6 February 2025 Okoli - I think I'd be homesick playing with this shower, and I only live up the road.
