It's looking increasingly like Timmy and Natcho man are on their way out so probably best just to see who turns up on the day. I doubt that there has ever been so many changes in a freshly relegated team that will have everyone reaching for their match programmes so they can put a name to the new faces on opening day.

Why are people not including JJ in any line up?

I think he will come in / rotate for Ricardo maybe even Castange, he is great going forward I think so expect he will be involved

Sounds like some of the teams I played for in the past lol

Doesn't look like the manager fancies him.

Tho, I have a feeling these opinions can change quickly once real games start. It only takes a sub appearance in a game we are struggling and for him or Souttar or VK (who also don't seem to be if the manager's taste) to turn it around and they will be in.

JJ - although a weeny bit dicky last season- at even 80% of his ore ACL / Achilles form would be the best defender in the division. Anyone better simply wouldn't be playing at this level.

...this looks good, provided there has been redemption for Wilf!!!

He would have to stay at home whilst Winks is the one stepping forward and passing through the lines breaking a press. Maresca will be looking for the "boxed four" and we are not going to get it with this setup.

By removing Wilf and Ricardo drops in (when in possession) we still need a creative #8 to tie the whole thing together. Love the width and Vardy upfront, we can be dynamic.

...Doyle does the duel role, it is made for him, Ricardo has been chosen for a specific role, and too much has been invested in training to leave him in any other position!!!

There is a situation where we may start Ricardo alongside Winks and JJ gets the RB position but that I think will be few and far between. He does not fit into the midfield four those positions would be locked by specialist players and the striker position has a long queue.

It always seemed to me that VK would be perfect in that LB/LCB role, he has the pace and physicality for it. It's a shame Doyle has come in and taken that position, I hope VK gets a chance to prove himself.

The issue with JJ is, he is/was an explosive wide player. He doesn't have the essential attributes of a central player that Maresca wants in his inverted RB. You won't actually get many players better suited to that role than Ricardo imo. Him and Winks are names 1 and 2 on the teamsheet in this system.

Ricardo would play alongside Ndidi and Winks would push on as an 8

Every single lineup I can cone up with is horribly unbalanced and riddled with players who gave zero ****s last season.

...lots of pressure on Wilf!!!

If we have to bring in a keeper who is good with the ball at his feet, entertaining a player notoriously poor technically with the ball on the ground and who will inevitably trigger the press from the other teams, is perhaps going to set us back

We had Tielemans and Soumare in front of our backline last season, I am just not convinced that we are not heading back to a weak midfield. If we can find a way to circumnavigate Wilf's shortcomings and he is back to enjoying his game, we will be on a winner.

Agree. This Doyle lad must be helluva player if he is to dislodge VK / JJ / Faes / Souttar.... regardless of left foot or right foot.

My hunch he isn't. Will be delighted to be proved wrong.

I doubt we will be able to maintain the same team for 46 games + cup games not to mention any injruies, so don't expect Doyle to start every game and VK to not... same with Justin and co.

I imagine Enzo will rotate the squad and keep everyone happy as Pep does with Man City, he must have learn't a thing or two working at Man City.

Lots of defensive options. Literally no idea for the front 6.

Winks, KDH, Vardy, Probably Ndiddi and then a bit of a guessing game.

I can’t believe Nacho is going to sit on the bench in the Championship (if he isn’t off).  So Nacho in the number 10 role if he is around. Then who knows

I think we have goals in our team, we’ve lost our most creative players but we have a talented side

Then we have to pick up the guantlet, & create and build, from within, creative players…

I reckon we won the league, not having top creative players, the team became the creative collective…

Just received my season ticket letter from Susan Whelan saying as my age category hadn’t changed I can continue using existing card.

Following line said something about If you’re aged between 20-33 and have ever played as an AM or winger bring yer boots!
