The likes of Ndidi? Hermansen? come on man!, it's our ownership that have got us into this mess, with their hiring of Cooper / RVN.. to replace Maresca, and previously for allowing Brendan to stay longer than he should have.

Not meant as any kind of defence for them whatsoever but when they employed Cooper and RVN, I just wonder if it was because they were the only candidates that would take the job? Marti too must need his bumps feeling coming here!

Bin this fake tanning waster off. There is such a persistent narrative on him that is not aligned with his contribution. Minus a good spell between August 23 and March 24, and the occasional isolated moment, his impact has been limited. He isn’t alone in this department. However, he is only rated so highly because Soumare and Skipp are completely useless. I have no doubt that he is a good footballer at this level, but he underpins everything wrong with us as a club right now. Spent all summer (unsuccessfully) pushing for a move and struts off at full time and fails to show any recognition to the travelling support. He is symptomatic of Seagrave Spa. I am anticipating the departure of these players and hope that they will encounter the level of accountability that is clearly absent at Leicester City. We might be one of the only institutions where consistent underperformance and lack of effort is actually met with reward, not tangible consequences.

Touched on this point elsewhere but I wonder if there's something in this like almost low performance culture at the club. Tielemans started really badly at Villa before getting back into form. Barnes wasn't dissimilar. Hermansen, Ndidi, Coady and Ward have all started badly this season. Feels beyond a coincidence.

Part of me is willing to attribute this to playing in a struggling side, but I think there are just too many glaring examples to ignore. Players have it too easy here, and I don't think anyone thinking rationally could genuinely dispute that. I feel that Seagrave was one of the biggest mistakes that we have made in our recent history. I cannot lie, I was all for it at the time, but we literally had our Golden Era at the old training ground. I think this goes back to a more broader point though. For 2-3 seasons the club leveraged themselves financially against continued success i.e. consistent qualification for Europe. The issue is that we have regressed at such a high speed and this has been coupled with a world-class training ground and the continual of stupid contracts being dished out. We bring it on ourselves by our recruitment strategy, but we are a soft spot for unambitious, mediocre and in a lot of cases, past their best players. Ayew, Coady, Ward and Winks are all cut from the same cloth. Until we move away from this, rip the current club culture apart, and essentially start again - I do not see us doing anything but continuing to go backwards. None of this will happen until Khun Top and Rudkin go, of course.

Did he walk straight down the tunnel today or did he go over to the fans.

I hope we can sort this out both sides because we need him so much.

Everyone came to the fans. He hung back a bit, clapped a little bit. Strange one, it really is

It will be interesting to see how he behaves if he is still here once the window closes.

He is our best midfielder, and I would expect Marti to start him most games once his future is decided.

Not sure why he is still sulking, but get over it will you. He could get himself a good move if he plays well until January.

I don't think there's that much ill-feeling towards him from the fans, is there?

Can we now all please accept that he's our best midfielder and that Hamza really shouldnt be considered as an adequate replacement for that role???

He was definitely putting the effort and showing some fight when he came on today. Hopefully Marti can get him on side as he would be crucial for us season

Think most are advocating for Hamza to be playing alongside him.

Almost lost us the game by not tracking his man at 80 minutes, luckily Okoli was there to block it.

The run down the wing was exciting but the problem with Winks is that he doesnt work hard enough off the ball.

We need better than him and Skipp if we are to go up.
