I never really rated him last season so it's no surprise to me that's he's proving not to be good enough. Average championship winger who proved to be a decent value signing but he's a clear example of how we didn't improve the squad.

What I can’t stand is he’s a coward. Watch any 50/50 especially in the air and he makes little to no effort to win the ball. He’s also a coward in terms of taking players on. And his defensive work is also highly debatable. Zero determination

The bloke needs a kick up the arse. His performance was summed up near the end when he had forgotten he was the corner taker.

Not good enough for the Premier League but he's definitely someone I'd be looking to keep long term. Did a job for us last year and no reason why he can't perform at that level for us again.

I know we're all doom and gloom, but can we celebrate that he and Kristiansen passed the ball to each other more than twice...in the first half!

Now that deserves a mention. The rest is not

Once again, he is the absolute least of our problems. Still looked the most likely to create something despite having a poor game.

Agreed. I think he appears lethargic and a bit lacking in motivation at times but I don’t think this is a reflection of how he is. Everyone is different in their outward demeanour. He isn’t our biggest problem and was a decent signing last year but we needed to strengthen the squad this year. Instead we leached precious money on players like skipp. The squad isn’t quite good enough but the blame starts higher up the chain.

He’s a disappointment at times some great runs a few great crosses the odd goal he’s becoming the New Traore all flair and no substance, so wasteful at times with his crosses to the opposition but he’s not the only one we have a few that need a wake up call tonight showed they are just not good enough for the Premier League excellent in the Championship but won’t keep us up time to bring in a bit of quality!

Not sure why people are sticking the boot in on him, I thought he did ok, 1st half caused issues for them especially.

Also we need someone the other side who can beat a man.

Did well for 20-25 minutes then went into his shell. Not really sure what he brings to a relegation battle. The definition of a luxury player.

He can do so much more in the games.  It’s frustrating watching him slow down then gravitate towards a group of players to try and skin them.  He creates his own problems.

He’s a selfish player, if he actually passed to the player overlapping he’d get the return pass and be in a position to shoot.

They really effectively shut down the wide areas, even in the first half. He was always in traffic.

Also, under Ruud we don't play with the same absolute width as we did with Enzo.

Enzo wanted Mav and Abdul stretching the pitch as much as possible with KDH and Wilf under cutting in the inside channel, it gave defenders a lot to track.

With RVN we're a lot more static in the wide areas and we don't utilise the same degree of overload & underlap.

One of Mavididi's best moments last night was cutting in to the middle of the park to go on a run because it's the only place there was space.

He has had a disappointing season and he hasn't really been quite good enough for this level but I don't think he was due quite the thrashing he's getting on here.

Vards missed a few sitters, including from Mavididi chances, and the defence just absolutely leaked goals again. Not like Mavididi was the biggest issue.

Always been a big Stephy fan, but I agree he's underperforming this season and has been frustrating.

Not sure he deserves singling out though and it's a bit harsh criticising his defensive work when he's right up there statistically when it comes to tackles, interceptions and blocks this season.

There are parts of his game which need work, yes. But again, yesterday, he set up two very good chances that were not taken. Say whatever you like about Mavididi but he has been creative in every game during this horrendous run.

He is one of those players that just looks thick as mince, half the time he looks to be day dreaming, the rest of the time he can't put a shift in apart for the odd sprint.

Luxury player who is a 7/10 in the Championship and bang average in this league.

Pick on the winger, it was always thus. Mind you he’s not good enough, but walks into this team, says it all. Oh for Demari Gray!

Gray was better than Mavididi at this level.

The width issue is we don’t really have anyone good enough for the right side as a winger.

We miss Abdul so much.
