In my opinion, we need every point we can get and he’s made a few mistakes now. I’d probably be thinking about playing Begovic, or wouldn’t have taken him out after a few good games in the team.

Whilst I do think we are relegation material, the future of this club is player development. Jakub is hardly young but he's a work in progress and I'd much rather we built our team around him than favour Begovic (who is a great advocate of Stolarczyk's)

Needs to dust himself down after last night.

Just a thought but having a goalkeeping coach might be a useful start to help Jakub learn to push the ball away from danger.

He's still improving but it is tough for him due to amount of chances we concede because our defence is weak. If we were in the prem, it would be inevitable he'd be having to make lots of saves every week but the amount of chances we give away against abolsolute fodder is appalling.

24 is still young for a keeper. Potentially 10 years away from his peak and his command of the area will naturally improve.

That said, he needs to cut out those ones sneaking in at the near post sharpish.

I like him but he should have learnt this by age 24 as a professional goalkeeper.

Kids are taught this from single digit ages!

You are probably right, but I’m not sure it helps the rest of the young players in the team if the keeper is going to be unreliable.

Keep playing him- definitely not a problem in this side. But I like Begovic as a back up, did okay for us in the games he played and it’s a relief having a semi competent goalie as back up.

He actually kept us in it, last night, in the end. He had his worst game for us but no one covered themselves in glory. We need to stick with him.

I dont have a problem with Jakub. Good shot stopping keeper. But he's clearly a bit thick. As he relentlessly kicked it to their centre half all second half. Did the penny not drop once to change it up.

Other option is to pass it to a player who's man marked and risk them losing it and going one on one. Rather than thick, I'd say that's the most logical option of the two.

Was more of a dig at us not having a GK coach to be fair

I can't help but feel if that's Danny Ward in goal instead of Stolarcyk, the same result happens for their 2nd goal but it's his thread not Cifuentes out thread gaining more traffic last night, despite what sounded like a woeful 2nd half display.

Hes a liability that will give up one goal with a mistake every match. Get him into the reserves and get the experience of Begovic in the team. Hes a league 1 keeper at best at the minute and whilst he may have potential its not potential that we need at the minute with the s*it show that's in front of him at present.

One goal a match is just unfair, but he is making way more mistakes than you would want/expect.

I dont agree. We were totally under the cosh and couldn't get hold of any possession. Yet every one of his kicks landed on the same CBs head and resulted in ball back to Bristol. What we were doing in the first half seemed okay. Or just fecking mix it up. But don't repeat something over and over that is advantageous for the oppos. That is just dim.

Yeah, they went 2 up top and pushed right up in the 2nd half.

It'd be moronic to try and play out from the back in that scenario for me. What should be happening is we should be pushing up and looking to win the 2nd ball, but we were glued to our 18 yard box for some reason.

He’s done more good than harm this season, and it’s his first season as a number 1 for us. I’m fairly certain he’s going to grow as a keeper and we should stick with him for sure.

My Preston supporting mate can’t understand why we let Iversen go. Says he’s having a blinder of a season with them

Because he couldn't kick the ball apparently.

We are trying to clone Pep ball, so who cares whether he,

can save the ball from going into the net.

Because our club and fans turn their noses up at a keeper who can, you know, shot stop, in favour of those who can kick a ball ok but can’t save s**t!

We’ve got one. Javier Ortiz joined a few months ago. Don’t blame you mind as it was never announced by our fantastic media team.
