He's shit with his feet.

But this is the championship where generally that's less of an issue.

It is pretty comical though that I'd feel safer seeing him trying to make saves from opponents efforts than receiving the ball from his own teammates!

If we had a bigger CF he could just be lumping it dead centre, but it's not an option.  Jakub isn't a problem for this level.  Maybe if we went up...

Either Jakub needs dropped or marti needs sacking for the goal kick routine alone.. absolute dog sh*te the way vesty stands there for an eternity, the ref taps his watch indicating that added time will put on.. he passes it to jakub who nervously passes it around the pen area to someone or there is an oncoming opposition striker.

Theyve nearly been caught out sooo many times and it won’t be long before it actually causes a goal and leaves them red face and looking at each other bewildered.. FFS give it up

Good point, however Mads earned us many points from his distribution and ability with his feet.

And Jakub has won us many by being the best shot stopper in the league. So what?

He is a very good keeper who has still a lot of development and learning ahead, he will make mistakes and unfortunately as a keeper that usually leads to a goal, however he has made a number of very important saves this season and therefore deserves our support when he does make the odd error. Hermansen made a few mistakes that led to goals in the Enzo season.

We will see our keepers make these mistakes every so often when we insist on playing out from the back so often.

I’m on the fence with Jakob, he’s either great or shit 😂 he does make a clanger most games tho which is worrying! Still young and first proper season as the number 1.

if you are going to do that, today is the ideal day but that’s another to the list of goals he’s been hugely at fault for.

It’s a shame because his shot stopping is excellent (other than when he palms it straight out into the 6 yard box). Hopefully it is just a case of needing the experience and getting these out of the way but it’s going to be difficult if he makes many more.

He's been fantastic since coming into the team. Yes a few mistakes but no more than any of the greats down the years. GK mistakes goes with the position.

But his shot stopping has been right up there with the best, look at his saves last week and even yesterday.

He's only going to get better as he gains more experience and settles into the team more.

With Bergovic as backup we're well covered.

I can't believe Jacob is getting criticised on here. Ok yesterday's goal was a nightmare but it was inevitably going to happen as he's not great with his feet & this scenario has happened with loads of goalkeepers since this ridiculous idea of trying to turn goalkeepers into world class midfield players.

The best way to avoid this happening again (because it will) is to not do it. Just knock it long, I know we won't win many but ensure we pick up the knockdowns, that way we'll have possession near the halfway line.

Jacob is a very promising keeper, a very good shot stopper & the most commanding of his penalty area that we have had for some time. The idea of buying someone to replace him is ludicrous, especially given our financial situation.

As I post this I've just seen the goal Spurs conceded. This way of playing is crazy, it just creates unnecessary pressure
