To be honest it's not a surprise that he makes good saves and has MOTM performances. He's one of the best shot stoppers in the league.

Trouble is his all-round game.

He's a weak puncher, poor at getting the ball away from danger, poor distribution and my biggest gripe is slow processing time of getting the ball out quickly.

He's done well tonight though so hopefully he can push on because he needed that performance.

There's the nucleus of a good goalkeeper there but even though he has made a number of important saves, on another day 2 or 3 of those that are uneceaarily palmed back in to trouble get buried and we lose comfortably. Really needs to work on his ability to hold the ball when shots come in, might be easier said than done but it's his biggest weakness.

This is annoying to watch.  I genuinely don’t know if he can throw the ball.  He starts to move forwards, you can see a player break and then something happens within himself and he stops.

Then we lose that momentum and whoever is the LCB has to dictate the slow sideways pace, Ricardo passes backwards and they panic until Jakob boots it back to the opposition.

There was a soft header towards the end that should have been a routine catch and for some reason he just palmed it out in to the six yard box.

Think this is down to coaching and manager. Its all too slow and laboured.

Thought he had a good game. Kept far busier than the opposition keeper, and a about 3 key saves that kept us in the game. Footmob gave him MOTM. Lots to develop on but i find complaining about him yesterday odd.

In terms of releasing the ball quicker, have you noticed than any opposition team we play reshape far quicker than we do once our keeper picks up the ball. Often, the only outlet worth throwing to is Abdul as everyone remains deep (James and Skipp are in the same place, Bobby stands still, and Ayew stands wherever the heck he wants to). Problem with Abdul, is he often has 2-3 players on him quickly. I think the team can help him out here more.

I’ve noticed on numerous occasions now that his communication with his defenders is clearly poor and he gets himself in a few muddles.

He might be decent shot stopper but if he’s flailing at crosses, getting in mix ups with his defenders and being a large part of 21 games without a clean sheet, he needs dropping.

Begovic feels more like the reassuring #1 we need at the moment.

Yeah it was very evident today there's poor communication, there was one where it was coming to him and Skipp intercepted it and played it in to danger, and the one where Nelson went to head it as Stolarczyk tried to claim it.

The save he made that was going miles wide and he just kept it in play was superb

Few times Skipp nipped in and taken it when should easily go to keeper. Really doesn't look strong in the high ball either

Very true .... but none of the defence talk, bollock or encourage each other .... no a leader amongst them

Ayew gave Stolarczyk a bollocking today lol most emotion I've ever seen from him

Ayews got loads of emotions. I've seen him display:

Tiredness

Weariness

Discomfort

Sadness

Anger

And that was all just the time a coach asked him to run 10 yards in the warm up.

Who gave Ayew a bollocking for drifting everywhere apart from where he should be? Embarrassing in the second half when Mavididi is running up the wing and Ayew drifts and runs behind him, giving Stephi no outlet at all.

I’m glad you saw that, I was beginning to doubt my own eyes!!!

It’s unusual for a striker to bollock a keeper!
