Just looked and Chelsea don't have a Premier League game this weekend and their next game is against Middlesbrough in the League Cup (he's cup tied) and their game after that is against Villa in the FA Cup (he's also cup tied).

 

Their next game that he could play in isn't until 31st Jan against Liverpool.

 

Surely we should be asking if we can keep him for the Ipswich game.

Well this is a shock! Just as he's about to get continuous game time! Shocking decision by Chelsea.

 

Interesting to see who we replace him with, frees up a loan spot.

You can't play someone in the exit lounge. No way will he put his body at any risk.

Frankly it would be absurd if he is recalled and can't play against Ipswich, leaving us completely in the lurch

Why? When we know he will be off to them anyway?

Well technically he's their player and must have had a clause in the loan to recall him. They couldn't care less about our midfield options. 

 

Hamza, Praet, Akgun are all options, and clearly we are trying to get a player or two out (Souttar) so we can sign Sensi. Casadei was largely pants so Hamza for a game or two while we try and sign Sensi isn't the end of the world.

Might not be him, but this has "loan someone else instead" written all over it.

 

Weird timing though, Casadei had started to look pretty good. Had he got the game time, I think he would have turned it on.
