Can't get any signal at all from the moment I get on to Raw Dykes Road. Doesn't come back until I'm halfway down Saffron Lane on the way home.

O2.

Mine works during the game perfectly, seems I’m just lucky as everyone around me can’t get anything. Weirdly during half time when I go out for a pint and a smoke is when it dies out completely

I’ve been with EE and 02 over the years and have never been able to get it. Some people do manage it though - lad in front of me has no problem, I remember having to refer to him for scores at that last home game last season when the fake Everton goal cheers were going up.

Like others have said though, if the grounds half full for a cup game or something you notice a bit of improvement.

Will always be an issue until the club sort out Wi-Fi unfortunately.

Used to make me laugh when they had signs up saying report specific behaviours on this sms short code. I doubt anyone ever got one to send

Can confirm

Tried this last season for some tosser vaping in his seat, the text wouldn’t send lol

In the interests of health and safety, we definitely need another method of attracting the attention of police/stewards to misbehaviour.

I propose letting off either a flare (blue) or a smoke bomb to signal for help.

Can someone raise this at the next fans consultation?

Maybe we could tuck a flare/smoke bomb under every seat like we used to do for clap banners. For use in emergencies only, of course.

Mine works fine. I streamed half of Netflix's back catalogue at the ground during Rodgersball.

I streamed the World Darts Championship final - can’t remember who we were playing, wasn’t too bothered.

Missed the bloody 9 darter due to buffering

This reads like a James Maddison diary post.

Perhaps he was also streaming it. Might explain a few things.

For about 3 seasons I had wifi because I went on a ground tour and they’d left the logon details in the away dressing room pinned up on a laminated A4! Sadly they changed the password 2 years ago. For what it’s worth, I noticed my phone was working slightly better on Saturday. I could actually get on at betting app.

Bit of an odd topic but something that has bugged me for a while. Am I right in thinking that mobile phone data is blocked in and around the ground on match days or is it just me? I'm pretty sure every game I've been to over the years, even on different phone networks, mobile data is blocked. I can't even get Flashscore to load to can't check scores or anything.

they havent blocked it at all, its just a real crap signal and stuff around there, im on smarty now and get a better signal in the ground now compared to when I was with EE, can usually use data too to depress myself when my bets arent coming offlol

Not sure if serious, if you’re that concerned why not just get the attention of an orange coated steward?

Anyway on the smoking subject, an away game a few years ago, could’ve been St James, after the match everyone queues on the stairs as normal at aways and a lad lights up near us, his mate tells him about smoking in a ground, he says ‘what are they going to do? Throw me out?’

I thought that was a very good answer seeing as you can be stood for 5 to 10 minutes when right at the back after a game. Plus not a steward in sight apart from around the stair opening area.

I haven't been able to get a signal down there either with EE or O2 for as long as I can remember.

I understand the point about the amount of people in a confined space etc but I've been thinking back over the summer and I went to a few large concerts at the RDS Grounds in Dublin, Villa Park, Twickenham and the  Olympic Stadium in Munich and I can't remember an issue getting online at any of those places.

I've been on EE forever and it's always been crap although as others have said, seems a bit better this season.

The only time it was any good was when I had a 4G phone before most other folks, but within months everyone had one so that didn't last

Would it even be legal for any organisation to block the signal.

If it was surely you would be blocked in hospitals as the claim it can interfere with some equipment.

That's a little different. I would think some MOD and MI5/6 building do it for national security. But KP or LCFC doing it I would think is not legal.

I almost never manage to so much as open up the scores on my phone at the ground. This was the same when I was on Vodafone as now while I’m on O2.

But what I don’t understand is that everybody else seems to be on their phones. Somebody is getting a reception! Who are these people and how do they do it!?
