lanefox Posted 25 August 2023 Posted 25 August 2023 Seems surreal to actually finally have depth out wide 1 1
foxpleasure Posted 25 August 2023 Author Posted 25 August 2023 If we do sign this guy he'll be the first winger we've signed with 3 letter U's in his name. 1 1

Molson Canadian Posted 25 August 2023 Posted 25 August 2023 I think he will be able to perform better than Momo Sylla.

StatFox Posted 25 August 2023 Posted 25 August 2023 He's a LONG way clear for take-ons attempted per90 minutes in the Portuguese Primeira Liga last season: 10.45 - Abdul Fatawu Issahaku 9 8 7 6.8 - Nélson da Luz 6.7 - Álvaro Djaló He also ranks first for take-ons completed with 4.82, over one more than second-place Rafik Guitane (3.76). That said, he only played 112 minutes all season, starting just the once vs Porto (substituted at half-time). 2

Dan Posted 26 August 2023 Posted 26 August 2023 Good deal for me - no risk at our end for potentially a decent prospect. Get him in. 1
Nicolo Barella Posted 26 August 2023 Posted 26 August 2023 Very happy to have Akgun and Fatawu as options for the RW. God knows we are shit at identifying talented wingers, we're more likely to end up with a good one if we get two to fight for the same spot. Bonus that it's only an option on the loan for Fatawu as well, if it doesn't go well we won't be stuck with him. 2
lcfc sheff Posted 26 August 2023 Posted 26 August 2023 looks to me he's got the traits we want from a striker as well but lacking end product thus far.

UniFox21 Posted 26 August 2023 Posted 26 August 2023 Interesting we're utilising our drop to go looking at players with potential in foreign leagues again. Which is nice to see 4

Scotch Posted 26 August 2023 Posted 26 August 2023 (edited) How confident are we on this one? I think I'd prefer a more natural left sided player. Akgun, Albrighton, Wanya and Mcateer are all more comfortable on the right, as as is this kid. Wouldn't be a disaster but still... Edited 26 August 2023 by Scotch
Finn Claw II Posted 27 August 2023 Posted 27 August 2023 Do we really need him with Mavididi, McAteer, Marcal , Albrighton and akgun. potentially Alves also. I’d be happy with a load of outgoings plus a striker and CB/FB 1
