Hales Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 Give him a chance... he has only just arrived, doesnt speak the language. He will come good, the 2 week break will be great for all the new signings to settle in 4
Mr Weller 2 Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 It’s far too early to say for sure but I was underwhelmed today. Lots of running but little threat. 1
OntarioFox Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 Meh, subdued debut, but then I'm jizzing kittens over Fatuwu and a lot of us did the same over Tetê... I like that he actually seems to get stuck in and tracks back too. Few more games before a judgement can really be made.

Yeah, as I said above he did beat his man nicely once on the outside but otherwise was a bit hesitant and took the safe option a lot. And totally agree his workrate was impressive. I think given a bit of time and a bit of confidence he's going to be a decent addition. Fatawu on the other hand is pure Hollywood. Already excited to see his next game. 1
lgfualol Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 Every time he got the ball I could see that he had no decent options and barely anyone in the box. He had Ndidi to try and link up with which would be hard for Messi, and no Doyle supporting him. Starting 11 was just a poor mix, hopefully Enzo wont repeat it.
Kierzz Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 Not his best debut but no doubt that he will improve. Looks to be a hard worker off the ball and showed got 1on1 defending for a winger
Buzzell Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 First game nerves perhaps today. Hard to slate him until he’s had a fair run in the side.
ronnup Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 One game, but it wasn't a good one. He pissed Enzo off a few times too.
TrentFox Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 Hopefully, he’s a reverse Tete - because he was awful today. 🤞🤞 1
funkyrobot Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 Thought he has a quietish, safe game for us, was so keen to not make a mistake that he didn’t take many risks. It took him into the 2nd half before he dare even take his fullback on the outside and he was successful. Perhaps having a more creative number 8 next to him like Casadei would’ve helped. It must be difficult to combine with a player who is naturally a destroyer in the midfield rather than a creator in Ndidi.
Ric Flair Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 Very mediocre debut, doesn't look like his first instinct is to take players on but thst trait tends to get better with confidence so I hope once he settles in he'll look to do so.

Reluctant every time, Enzo was exasperated with him. Maybe coached into him
Alf Bentley Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 Sound enough in possession and played for the team, but played a bit too cautiously - maybe under instructions to keep possession and scared to gift opportunities to the opposition on his debut. Can't judge any of these new signings, even provisionally, for at least a couple of months.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 Trying to think of a worse debut. He was absolutely dreadful.
RowlattsFox Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 Looks more like a player we need in the 8 roles than a winger to me.

CrispinLA in Texas Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 Didn't expect any different to be honest, coming straight out of Turkish football to English football is always difficult 3

Jimmy Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 our right winger has a much harder job, the left winger gets support from Doyle and KDH the right winger is pretty much left to themselves 1

The right winger has a much more difficult job than whoever plays out left. Not sure what the resolution is in this system.
smudger63 Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 Too early to judge him. Done alright, could have done better today, that's about it. Didn't help him, that the guy that came on to replace him, was electric, and lit the game up. 1
Danno Posted 2 September 2023 Posted 2 September 2023 Another Turkish fraud unfortunately, happy to be quoted again soon but looks like another Under 4

Not sure what the resolution is in this system. the resolution is Casadei but Wilf is being picked for his pressing and to be fair is playing well but he's not going to offer much help to the winger, Ricardo could stay a little more to the right of the midfield too I guess 1
