Leicestershire v Hampshire  (One Day Cup Final at Trent Bridge, Saturday 16th Sep 2023, 11.00 start)

(Part 2 of the Leicester/Leicestershire v Southampton/Hampshire "weekend double header")

There's no City game next Saturday.  So come on girls and boys, let's all get ourselves up to Trent Bridge and support Leicestershire in their first cup final for 12 years.
(and first major 50+ overs final for 22 years).

It's just up the road and should be a good day out.  Even the trains should be running ok, as no strikes are planned by ASLEF/RMT unions.

Leicestershire fans are going mainly in the Fox Road and Hound Road Lower stands.  (I think)

If I recall correctly, we played Southampton the weekend County last won a trophy.

Yep, had to run from the final whistle to the station to get the train to Skeg, and got to Chapel St Leonards in time to see the presentation.

It’s ages since I saw us in a meaningful game and it’s just around the corner from me, but unable to commit to it yet. Reckon you’ll be able to pay-on-the-day? 🤔🤔

Yes 99.99 % you can walk up and pay at the gate

Well remembered.   27th Aug 2011.   City beat Southampton 3-2 and Leicestershire beat Somerset to win the T20 final

Nice promo work @worth_the_wait ...

I'm in. Fox Road stand. 💪

Cheers!    Someone's got to do it!

I'm first-and-foremost a City fan, but they don't need anyone's help at the moment.  Can pretty much sell out every home and away game.

The County on the other hand ................................. need all the help they can get.      Especially with all this 100 sh*t, which seems designed to try and kill off counties like Leicestershire.

(Fox Road stand too)

I don’t get cricket.

Play for 5 days and it’s a draw.

Why can’t they play in the rain either?

One of life's key rules........"Never trust anyone that doesn't like cricket"

“Never trust anyone that doesn’t like cricket” and “Never trust anyone that likes cricket” are pretty much the only two key life rules you need.
