And with many of the same players!

Kasper, Morgan, Schlupp, King, De Laet all started.

Vardy and Drinkwater were on the bench. (Vardy didn’t even get on the pitch)

Even crazier to think that 3 of those players went on to win the FA Cup too.

Wasn't Harry kane on the bench aswell

Anyone with X, Bluesky could you just pop a quick clarification post to pundit Lucy Ward, whose ears are as blocked as the Forest fans.

She made a point on the Guardian Football Weekly podcast that we chanted "champions of England, you'll never sing that" in a mocking tone. Deary me.

Huddersfield were properly hard done by in that game as well.

And you only have to look at what happened next. That was 2022, by last summer, 2 years later, Huddersfield went down into League 1 whilst Forest stayed up courtesy of an awful bottom 3 and breaking financial rules. A further year on, Huddersfield are stuck in League 1 for another year and Forest have a form of European competition.

If Jon Moss had officiated the game in a fair and professional manner, Huddersfield would have had two penalties and likely gone up and the trajectories are completely different.

Not to mention the goal that won them the game was a spawn deflection.

It still makes me laugh that opposition fans still think this about the Vichai had a dream chant. Gimps

Perhaps change it to Premier League Champions, you’ll never sing that.

I think before we start in the Championship, a bit of research needs to be done by the “singers” when singing Champions of England to certain teams. Football didn’t start in 1992.

I think they misheard the Vichai song.... Champions of England, you made us sing that.

They hear what they want to.

Good point. Apologies for my later post.

If I were a conspiracy theorist, I would be suspicious of the fact that Jon Moss was retiring immediately after a match that involved a club owned by a man known for 'influencing' referees and was worth nine figures. I'd be even more suspicious if Moss then put in a breathtakingly poor performance that benefited said club.

Outed yourself as one of them

Not that it is always easy to decipher what a crowd in a stadium are singing but it is amusing they are getting so worked up about it whilst getting what was actually sung completely wrong!

This theory unfortunately falls down when you remember that Moss was consistently shit regardless of who was playing. Like, proper doggo. lol

This tradition of giving a retiring referee the Championship play off final as their last game is scandalous. George Courtney in 1992 couldn't keep up with play and awarded a pen for the Speedie dive from miles away. The following year David Elleray did the same thing for the Steve White dive. They weren't fit enough to ref such an important game and neither was Moss.

Looking forward to them rotting in the Championship for years to come, where they belong.

coming from a forest fan lol

😂

You have to remember that this lot genuinely believe that they have a divine right to Premier League football, despite having played less of it than Palace, Wigan and Stoke. 😂

Giving it large about us not competing when the Premier League budgets skyrocketed when their starting 11 yesterday cost something like 20x as much as our title winning squad.

Not to mention the fact that we literally were having similar seasons to them back to back with a squad that, again, cost a fraction of this Forest squad.

Fact of the matter is that their season is entirely unremarkable if the UCL didn't gift England another qualifying spot.
