Came in, club in an absolute mess (still is), but has really turned the atmosphere round from day 1.

 

Yes he has lots still to learn, but he implemented his style really quickly to a group of players short on confidence.

 

He had 1 job, get us back ASAP and has done it.

Thanks Enzo. Sharky made you sound a bit of a nightmare but you are dedicated, learning your trade and have put everything into the job. Congrats on getting promoted and breaking some records in your first full season of management.

Promoted with relatively little experience from one of the toughest leagues in Europe? I'll take that. Let's hope he's taken some good learning from this calendar year and start well in August!

A season that was promotion or bust.  (litterally). All the pressure was on him and he’s delivered. Give the man his credit he deserves it. All aboard the Marescalator

Had my complaints in recent weeks, like most us, but he deserves this promotion on his cv. Can't really remember the vibe in pre season but the way he got us into such a great position was huge.

 

Deserves a shot next season. Clean slate.

Haven't always enjoyed it but it's a great achievement. Very difficult to get promoted from any league and he's done it at the expense of a manager with a lot of experience of getting out of the Championship.

I just tried to start a poll on whether he should still be sacked or not. Disappeared in less than 30 secs!

lol. all the thank you Enzo posts. It's been a joke watching the way we have played save the last game or so. Sideways play, slow possession, sub like for likes, dull boring football but hey, let's remember Southampton and forget the rubbish before. The opposition has been nothing to write home about and next year under his managerial guidance which rarely changed throughout this season, we will suffer if he doesn't show the ability to adapt quicker. He sure didn't show that ability this year. Happy we're going up and happy for the players and happy Enzo gets the promotion. Time will tell cos they won't axe his job now.
