Will this be the first time two Premier League winners have played a league match outside of the Premier League?

It is! At least that’s what was said on telly (on ESPN) during the Liverpool game

I definitely saw JJ using his left peg a few times against Liverpool, showing the manager he has the ability perhaps?

Also Souttar pinged a couple of crossfields as part of his 'I can be Yanik' audition, which was nice to see.

I think essentially that's the element we lose with Doyle but I do feel we have others who can fill in.

...if I  recall, a team that passes well, young players that are brave on the ball and willing to play out in tight spaces!!!

They had the beating of us last season, as they had a cohesive plan and a manager who looked to play an attacking game against a team in a higher league.

They did look decent last season…

Now each game gets bigger for us,because the questions pops up,

#have they pushed on since last season

# How good is their system…for this league..

# Can the new LCFC & new baggage pack- Enzoball ( system ) be a match for them.

# The Championship teams might find it harder to take those 3-5 major steps to the

PL, but very few are rubbish, this was always for me,next to Leeds the big test for

us…Experienced Ex-PL with Championship routine, are the type of teams that

throw out & ask the hardest, biggest questions.

Too many FT-posters see all Championship sides as failures,crap..or we sit has entitled judges. Nothing can be further from the sporting truth and reality…

Whether we get promoted or stay a  little longer won’t depend alone on the 2 Blackburn /Leeds fixtures, but they will give us an early & mid-season markers, how far system and player expression & developement as so far taken us.

This season was always going to be a mistery tour, destination and journeys routes unknown..Blackburn will be one of those challenging Journeys

Yes. Would have happened sooner if the authorities had actually held the "big six" clubs to account after the ESL

With all the Blackburn fans moaning how sh1t their goalkeeper is I’m wondering whether it would be fair to start Ward in this one and make a game of it?

Lend them Ward more like would be better.

I think the anfield game the lads can take some confidence going into the rest of the season rather than a momentum killer. Finished I thought rather strong bar the goal conceded and seemed to show massive potential all factors considered

The problem with looking at how teams "normally" play is that there's nothing normal about us this year and everybody knows it already.

Bristol City don't normally park the bus in the way they did against us, for example.

Yes there'll be the odd Norwich or Southampton that try (and fail) to stick to their "usual" game plan but a lot of teams are going to mix it up entirely.

It's hard to predict who exactly is going to come to the KP and park the bus vs who is going to "give it a go."

Let the other teams have that dilemma.

No matter what league one is going to be successful in..One stand has a team/squad/individuals and shout you all know how we play,& see through what we are doing.."try and see if you can knock us of course"..

Obviously & history shows, the successfull clubs, still grind their system, their press.their patience out and throw in some tweaks to match the moment..Even when obvious is obvious are the oppo good enough to turn those odds in their favour...and when..

Is it enough to take the points...

Fine, very fine differences...Many oppo fans will say "they" ( who ever they are) were there for the taking, but over seasons can't turn that knowledge or quality play, into anything decisive.

Genuinely thought it was playing now.

Are there any good reasons for the kick-off time tomorrow?

I'd just like to see an exciting game, the last one I can recall was beating Spurs a year ago. Football without  the passing control accuracy and slow motion speed of play just looks like a car crash waiting to happen to me. I can see the goals completely drying up when oppos pack and control the midfield.
