Which was said of him (and many others) last season, which proved to be untrue.  And we go into another season and where does he fit?  Surely if he has anything going for him he should be a nailed on starter, yet we're in a position that even with injuries, multiple players leaving and a dearth of experience and/or quality he's not even guaranteed to be in the squad, let alone the starting line up.

No player of ours should be 'fine'' for league one.  Not ones that have been with us for any amount of time.  They should piss it.  And even the sentiment that they'll be fine is somewhat presumptuous based on seemingly nothing more than the fact that they've played at a higher level.  But the fact they've evidently failed at that level insinuates that it's above them and the only reason to think they've 'fine' for this level is because they haven't had the chance to fail at it yet.

Imagine being with us from Premier League level, and not being assured of a place in the side in League one.

Whatever your own opinion of him, just like Daka, 5 or 6 managers in a row haven't seen him as good enough to start at ANY level. You can say he tries hard, has passion, loves the club etc but sorry those are MINIMUM requirements for any footballer at a club. For 50k a week, I expect you to run your balls off.

 

He's been fined for being late for training, had drink drive bans and been part of the "leadership group" for all the 3 relegations. There's a pattern.

How we can still be playing this chump. He is so crap, especially if you're asking him to do a forward thinking role. He doesn't have the technical ability to do that so he has to take an extra touch. And that's if we're lucky enough to see him want to play forward. Most of the time he's just waltzing about.

I was at St James Park on New Years Day 2020 when he scored, that was his last meaningful contribution to this team. Even then he looked like he had won a raffle to play the last 20 minutes alongside Pro Footballers.

Never thought I would say this, as I've never rated him, but we should give Hamza the 6 shirt. He's better than Skipp at this level and is the type of player we need at the moment.

He was dreadful - half paced - adds no drive and stands around - don’t get fooled because he tracks to recover with a desperate tackle - I would rather see all the youngsters - we need rid of him, Skipp, Thomas, Okoli, BCDR - we need some proper leaders who set standards!
