Not enough upsides to account for the downsides.

Would be extremely Leicester to make this happen for a player that will obviously leave us for free having taken £20m in wages with less than 100 games played.

We gonna pay him 100-125K per week then?

Will add that we just sold our 2nd best RB to the PL and our 4th best winger to the favourites Ipswich. This league IS shit and we've got a lot of quality.. rough around the edges and not many goalscorers, but it's obvious where we need improvements.

We're 2/3 correct signings away from being close to the top, CM, AM, ST - and ideally a LB if we sell/loan Kristy

A fullback, a central midfielder, an attacking midfielder and a striker.

I wouldn't want any of those players to be older than 26/27 and I wouldn't want to pay any of them 100 grand a week.

That's what he's rumoured to be wanting. But even then 80k a week for 5 years is the sort of thing you could see Rudkin being happy to offer.

I imagine he is waiting to see if someone like Everton or West Ham who are after centre mids panic on deadline day after struggling to get deals done and throw him a good contract

So many people on here with there heads in the sand.

He isnt coming. We certainly wont be offering 29 year olds 3 year contracts on 50K a week.

It looks like the club have learnt  there lesson on that one, thankfully.

Dont expect any incomings just 3 or 4 more out the door.

Also been told there is something in the Nixon story but the mercury reported its not true, so they must be right! Been shot down enough for suggesting otherwise

Mercury is Click bait at its best.

What Nixon story?

It’s not true. The EFL HAVE to publish any embargo’s imposed… if they’ve done this without following the correct procedures then we can hang them out to dry legally… again.

Nixon is a wind up merchant and nothing more. He’s wholly inaccurate and rarely gets anything right.

What does one have to do to get on the 'been told' WhatsApp group?

Transfer embargo which the thread is now closed as not true apparently:giggle:

Because it would be listed on the EFL website if it was true.

It isn’t.

Not sure Josh Brownstuff is the type of player we should be signing.  Here is hoping Marti has some irons in the fire before the window closes. Surepy our Recruitment Team have some targets??

What other type of player would you recommend right now? Yes, we need to get back to the model of the past of buying cheap relatively unknowns but that can only happen if you've got a spine and they can be integrated gently.

We are lacking quality in midfield and Brownhill is free and has an unbelievable track record at this level so he's the exact type of player we're after.

yet

Why would there be a wait time for the EFL to announce a transfer embargo? It wouldn't make sense.

Well, ofcourse it isn't true. The EPL have to announce teams that are under restrictions and they haven't announced we are under any embargo.

Probably because we are contesting it?

We have a scouting network and a Recruitment Team. If their activities are confined to just Josh Brownhill, then they all need firing.  Value for money being ignored with bringing in highly paid stop-gaps has got us in part in this PSR position.

So this question on recommendations should be addressed to the Club - not me.:dunno:
