Say he reverts to 9 goals 3 assists next season would our fans be happy with that output? Only slightly better than Ndidi was for us last time in the championship and that's not even his natural game. There are just so many better, younger, cheaper players available that this transfer just doesnt make sense to me. He got 15 goal contributions in 22/23 which for a central midfielder (not a #10) then yes that is good. Don't think he was a penalty taker either? For the record i'm not particularly keen on seeing him here but his output has invariably improved and is a captain type player as well. 1
Jimmy Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 apparently he was playing further forward last season more of a 10 than an 8

Him being a leader is a big plus too, but...I am very uneasy about paying high wages right now. 1

Loan with an obligation to buy if we go up. 5

Popular Post wardyfox86 Posted 27 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 27 August 2025 If Josh Brownhill can command £100k per week, with a straight face, and still bag a club then we've either picked the absolute worst or the absolute best time to be skint. Depending on how you look at it. Football needs turning off and on again... 11
fkas Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 If he can go and earn £100k a year in the desert then good luck to him. Sign for three years and his grandkids will never have to work a day in their lives. Probably great grandkids too if he gets a second set of three years out there. Who needs morals when you can have money.

Popular Post Pliskin Posted 28 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 28 August 2025 100k a week for him is madness….. for a lad who’s essentially a top end championship player. 5

Of course he may want to go to a British club and perhaps win a trophy, become a club legend etc, depends what drives you.
katieakita Posted 28 August 2025 Posted 28 August 2025 Strange one because if someone has offered him 100k a week he would already be on that plane wearing a Al Shabab kit
